Our Church building in Marmelade
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you all in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus!
Last week I was not able to write. We had a rivival going on in Marmelade followed by a celebration of the first anniversary. We also had two mission teams back to back. There were chores here in Gonaives we had to keep up with. So I had good excuses.
A big crowd
My friends, we serve an amazing God! I like compare HIM with the gods of Voodoo and other religions. The other gods always look very pale. On top of that, He is the only loving and forgiving God there is. Of course we pay the price for our bad choices, but He still gives us other chances. He loves mankind extravagantly to the point of dying for us.
With a God like that, we should be crazy for Him. In a world where everyone is claiming their rights, we therefore have the right to claim our rights to be crazy for God.
Dancing before God with no embarrassment
Last year, about mid-april, we started Living Water Christian Church in Marmelade. We started with a mission trip and a crusade. A number of people responded and we started the church. Today they have about 100 souls worshipping the True God there. We need to thank God for that.
Completing the Basketball court
These people are leaving voodoo and worldly or demonic voodoo lifestyle to serve the Savior of the world. Let us thank God for that.
We have young people who are diligently serving Christ through that ministry. We have people who once were in Christ and left and now are coming back. It is a thrilling experience.
Kari’s last day seminar on PTSD
We thank God for the many people who are turning to Christ here in town. This is a very good thing, but comes with many challenges. The major one is concerning the Sunday school classes. We don’t have the luxury of having material in French. I don’t have time to write after my teaching, preaching and other responsibilities. We have challenges that need to be overcome for the glory of God. Of course we say thanks to God for those challenges. I like this situation better. We still want the Church to grow in depth, in width and in height.
Learning how to use the purification system
We thank God for the water purification systems installed last week both here and in Marmelade by brother Bill Farrar and his organization. It has already saved us money and time. The tank we have here for the school holds 700 gallons and the one in Marmelade is 500 gallons. Thanks to all those who made this possible.
We thank God for the training seminar on PTSD (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder) taught by Kari last week. This has equiped teachers and church leaders here to counsel those who were victims in the earthquake and others who experienced light threatening events.
We look forward to the arrival of Regina Green and brother Acha Goris who will continue to equip us and will see a number of people while they will be here in June. Pray for them.

P.S. Concerning the bus, they have not delivered it to us yet, because Port-au-Prince has to give the order first. So things are more and more difficult these days. Pray for the delivery of the bus.
