Please pray and praise

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in His most Holy Name: JESUS!

I find it very hot around here too. You may wonder where is he? I am in Moberly, MO. I will be here for a month. I arrived last Tuesday evening. This time I am here hoping to rest and do some writing. So I will be as close as possible to Central Christian College of the Bible Library.

We have had a lively Summer. The enemy has attacked like crazy, but the Lord always gives us victory.

Please praise God with us for bringing Naomi and Guerlande into the Kingdom of light. The enemy’s plan to make witch doctors out them has failed.

Praise God also for the success of the junior camp. These guys had much fun while learning The Truth and we hope that many will come to know Him as their Lord and Savior.

Please praise God also for the progress of the dining hall. The dining hall will provide more space for the ladies to prepare and serve meals to school children every day. It is built so that we can start using the big propane stove and thus stop using charcoal.

In the past we have used so much charcoal.  It hurts to know that to have charcoal many trees, young and old, have been cut down. There is no question that using the propane stove will cost more.  However, we will feel a lot better knowing that our feeding program will stop contributing to the fast moving deforestation of Haiti. The completion of the project will provide much more space for more kids to eat as we anticipate more kids in the next school year.

Praise the Lord with me for the tireless workers that He Himself has placed at Living Water. Please praise Him for our supporters. Many of them have financial reasons to stop supporting us, but they trust in the provision of God and continue anyway. Please pray for those who lost their jobs, so that the Lord may provide other jobs for them. Pray for those who stopped support because of financial difficulties, so that the Lord may open other doors for them. Also Praise the Lord for the progress of our beloved sister Pat Croll. Pray that she can resume her daily activities.

As the new school year is getting closer and closer, leaders at Living Water are making lots of decisions.  Pray that God may lead them in all their decisions.

Remember, please continue to remember the victims of the earthquake. If you now go to Port-au-Prince, you will see the streets are packed with people as if nothing happened, but observe the fragility of the tents. See how they sit in water during and after rain in many places. And many do not have the luxury of having even a tent. They need your prayers and your help.

Please pray for a hurricane free year. Because if we have a hurricane in any of those areas affected by the earthquake, my friend, it will make things a hundred times worse.

Please pray for Haiti, period. We will have an election at the end of November. Please pray for the election. I have my reservations about the whole deal, but prayer can make the difference that we need. And, we want you to know that we pray for USA as well. I am challenging you to pray way more than you have in the past for this great country. What you and I cannot do, God will do when we pray.

I have included a few pictures as usual. The first shows the workers of the literacy program that Luke launched when he was in Haiti this summer. The envelopes they have in their hands include checks they have received for making the program a reality. It is already a success. We have photos of the kids as they were leaving the church to go to camp, a photo of Micah teaching, a photo of the progress on the dining hall and in the last one we see Robin and Widler purifying water for the Living Water community. Thanks to all of you and we love you very much.

In Him,

Salonique Adolphe and team
