Believers in the Word

Believers in the Word

I am with you always!!!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in the holy name of JESUS!

The last promise that Matthew records in his gospel under the guidance of the Holy Spirit is: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” I cannot overestimate the meaning of this promise for me as a Christian and for the ministry the Lord has entrusted to us here at Living Water. We know the battle is not optional. We know the victory is certain. We know that we have to stand firm and not run away, so faithfulness to JESUS to the end is necessary not just for us here, but all believers around the globe. So let us stay faithful to HIM and feast on His promises, particularly the one we have just named above.

It has been almost three weeks since I sent my last news. There are many reasons for that. The biggest one is that my Internet connection is not working at my house. We called a guy to fix it, but two days later, we had the same problem. Here at the office, finding time and concentration to write in that last three crazy weeks has not been easy. I thank all of you who have checked on me to know how we are doing here.

Satan has never given us a break, but it seems lately, he has given special assignments to his forces of darkness against us. He is trying like crazy to discredit our ministry. Now he is directly attacking our leadership in special ways.

  • Gracia’s health (Discipline director) has been pretty bad, but thank God he is slowly recovering and is slowly return at least for a few hours to do office work.
  • Jean Gilles (Elder and intercession minister)’s wife almost lost her leg in a motorcycle accident.
  • Micah’s wife has returned, but she was unhappy as soon as she arrived. The next day she became again a problem for the kids and for Micah.
  • We have one of our leaders who is pulling away from us and seems to saying unkind things about us. He is in a defensive position and no one can talk with him at the present.
  • The attacks are many and diverse on our leaders. So pray for us.

Satan also viciously attacks our school via attacking some of our young adult girls through demonic possession. I don’t need to share the stories because some of you will not be able to grasp them. Satan’s problem is the same: Living Water Christian School continues to snatch away from him many students by the power of JESUS. We will continue in our God-given mission to influence those kids for Christ who will set them free from the dominion of Satan. We beg you for your prayers.

While Satan is attacking God continues to give us victories and blessings. This past month one of our blessings was that we welcomed many new baby boys and girls. All moms are doing well and so are the babies. Please pray for those people for us.

We had three baptism the week before and two this past week.

We have made considerable progress with the lower level of the Dining Hall. They are painting the inside this morning. Jude will probably start laying block on the upper level sometime next week.

Another blessing is that our leaders are not yielding to the attacks of the enemy.  In fact they are much more motivated to go forward knowing who is actually fighting for us.

A team from Rensselaer made the trip to Miami with the two buses. Now we are hoping that Mr. Moura will ship them pretty soon and we will be able to get them as soon as possible. I praise God for all the men and women who gave time, energy, goods, and money to make this shipment possible. I cannot praise God enough for IDES who continuous their support for the efforts of Living Water. Every time I see a bus serving our community, our Churches, our schools, every chair we use in our classrooms and in our churches, we owe to the generosity of the men and women serving God at IDES. May God bless them all. May God bless those who keep IDES going by their faithful prayer and financial support.

As usual, we have had many important meetings lately:

  1. Last week I had a seminar with the emerging leaders of the Church in Marmelade
  2. We had parents meeting
  3. Teacher-staff meeting
  4. Yesterday I held a seminar for 35 Sunday school teachers. They came from at least 7 churches. The weather was bad, very rainy, so a few people could not make it.
  5. We scheduled four evangelistic meetings in four different places, one place each night, but we ended up doing three nights because we were rained out the first night.

This coming Monday, we are expecting about 800 students in our campus!!! It is unbelievable!!! God is up to something big here. We feel privileged to be His instruments in all of this. We praise God for the families who sponsor a child to make this huge work possible. It is incredible to see God at work.

One of our teachers who was with us and left in 05 came back for a visit this week. He was utterly shocked at what he saw. He praised God with us. I know many of you will come to visit some day. You will rejoice even more with us.

We love you deeply. We appreciate your sacrifices to keep us in the fight. You have already rescued many.  There are many more to be rescued. Together we can claim Haiti for Christ. Together we can build a new generation of Haitians who will be able to sucessfully lead this country to progress and developpement.

I ask you to pray for two great friends: Jean Parker and Steve Humbert. Steve is sick and is in need of healing and Jean needs the Lord to intervene on her behalf.

We all need to remember, no matter what Satan is trying to do against us, He is with us!
