He knows everything, so peace be with you

Dear beloved brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in the most precious name: JESUS!

You have probably said at least once in your life that God knows everything. Right? Indeed, He knows everything. We also know that as Our Father, God, loves us beyond comprenhension. With that understanding we should agree that, no matter what happens in our lives, God lets it happen for our best.

My front tire on the passenger side did not blow out but it came off of the car. For a few seconds I rode on only three wheels. I was left for7 hours in the middle of nowhere until someone came to rescue me. After several trips back and forth to the nearest village, he finally got the car back on four wheels. We had to go back to Port-Au-Prince (PAP) to completely fix the problem. On our way to down town PAP I had a minor accident. Nothing happened except the turn signal lights got damaged. Briefly Samuel, Elie and I made it home safe and in one piece.

In everything we must give thanks. I thank God that I did not have this problem 48 hours later when I was rushing missionaries to PAP. Our attempt failed to fly the missionaries out of Haiti. [Editor: PAP airport was closed due to riots over recent election] We had to fly them out of Dominican Republic, I thank God that I did not have that problem then, otherwise they would have missed their flights. So we need to always bear in mind that our God knows everything. We should have peace of mind in difficult times (and a troublesome mind when we are doing things outside of HIS will). He surely knows the “because” of all our “why” questions. So trust HIM.

Our most recent team came from KY. It was composed of brother Acha Goris, his son Ike and two of Dr. Goris’ students Jenna and Shanna. Brother Goris taught wonderfull sessions on marriage with the couples of the church. They could not get enough. He had a session with the youth. They also wanted more. Brother Goris preached on Sunday Dec. 5th in both of our adult services.

His students had a group session with the victims of the Jan. 12th earthquake. About 35 of them participated. They also met one on one with several of the students of our school who were in Port-au-Prince last January. They had fun playing and teaching our students. They visited alll seventeen classrooms we have in the school. They had a message of encouragement and challenge for all of our student body. It was wonderful.

They visited our Church property and the property where we will build for the Bible College. They visited the city a little bit. Ike attended two classes; one each day. The first one was the 6th grade class and the second one was the 8th grade class. As a 6th grader he seemed to have enjoyed the 6th grade class much more. Last and not least, Bro. Acha taught our Bible College students for several days. They had a blast, so did I. May God bless this team for their work and may they enjoy a deeper relationship with Him because of this trip.

After their great work for God at Living Water, leaving Haiti was not easy. But God had a plan. So they finally left Saturday afternoon, instead of Thursday, via Dominican Republic to USA. They are now home safe and sound. The challenges were many, but because Our God has never been taken by surprise, and never will be, he had already made a plan for them. We praise God for the work of this team.

I have included some photos of the church services last week. You will also find photos about the students playing, eating and also the students of the Bible College learning.

As I am writing, it is raining. It has been doing so since last night. So lots and lots of water in the streets. If it were still hurricane season many people would be in more af a panic. So pray for us. Pray for the political situation of Haiti. Please continue to pray for Living Water.

We love you and may God bless you.

In Christ.,
Salonique Adolphe and team
