Seeing the Future in the Present

Dear Brothers and sisters,

What a joy it is to find this moment to send you a few lines as an update! My friends, greetings!

It was a great joy to see many of you at the National Missionary Convention. Those of you who could not be there missed a very good one. Praise God for such a great convention. I was in the States a few days prior to the Convention to visit with my friend Acha Goris, his family, his students and church family. I had a great time there in Ashland, KY.

One of the blessings that I enjoy very much is the fact that God has placed a number of people to do an excellent job of preaching, teaching, discipling and shepherding at Living Water. So even when I am not there the work continues without any problem.

In the first picture Rosemond was training people how to welcome people to the church on Sunday. The other picture shows 60 people in training. That makes it easier for me to get a glimpse into the future of Living Water. As time passes they will be more mature in Christ and improve whatever they are doing for the Lord. Some of you know that we cannot wait for the day when every Sunday 2,000 or more new believers in Christ are worshiping the King of kings together. In the meantime, we are enjoying the Spirit-filled praise and adoration that those we now have are offering to God.

You all know our Health Clinic building project. When I see the picture of Dr. Dan taking care of that patient in her home, I cannot wait for the day when several doctors, nurses and other health care agents are working side by side as a team to provide good care for the people of Gonaives. I cannot wait. It will be a great day when that happens.

We thank God for our students: those in the elementary school, those in the Junior High and High School. Those students and their peers are the future of Haiti. I thank God for the parents, supporters and sponsors who make their education possible. I thank all of those who make feeding them at the school possible as well. We rejoice in the wonders of Our God to make such things possible at Living Water. The last picture is about their basketball competition. Our boys are entertaining their classmates, and at the same time, their skills are growing. Who knows what that could mean in the future?

I want to thank all of those who welcomed me into their home. There was Bro. Acha and his wife Rachel, Susan and Steve Humbert, Bill and Sarah Fudge, Ken and Pat Croll and mom and dad Green. Thanks to all of you. You are all artists of a better future in Haiti.

In Christ,
