The Principal Leaders of the New Church

The Principal Leaders of the New Church

From Dream to Reality

Dear brothers and sisters,

Heartfelt greetings to you in the name of Our Great Lord: Jesus Christ!

The service started at 8:30 in a small sanctuary filled like an egg. The outside temperature was perfect. Instead of the hot sun that we would normally have, God planned for us to have an overcast day, so no sunshine. No amount of tarp could have done a better job. It was still warm, yet it was the perfect day to launch the church at White Mountain, especially in a desert-like environment. Everyone was excited. The way the people sang and the musicians played was an undeniable testimony of their joy. The whole service was filled with God’s presence.

If someone had told us the year before that we would have a church at White Mountain at this time this year, we would have told him some day, but not so soon. Well, the Holy Spirit pushed us. God has disturbed our quiet world and has stretched us to do what we thought we were not ready to do. So on November 25, 2011, we broke ground for the   church building. Each passing day we realized that it was surely God’s timing to do it.

While we were doing the church building a few of the same family tree of the ten spies who went to Jericho did not cease to tell us about the giants in the land. But our confidence in Our Lord grew each passing day, so we did not listen to them. The attitude of the people in the area encouraged us not to listen to the negative voices.

The people in the area were surprisingly welcoming. They loved the idea having a church there. They were also excited that they were going to have clean water available to them. So they could not wait.

While building the church we had the well dug. Despite the challenges for a project in a place like White Mountain, God again made it possible for us to find good water. The water is not flowing yet. We pray that it will be available to them next week. At first, I thought tomorrow, but the work that was0 supposed to be done to make that possible was not done until this morning. So we hope that early next week the water will begin to flow for the community.

Some of the People who Had to Sit Outside

Last Sunday, we had over 300 people present for the launching of the new church. We had our first meeting with the new members that Sunday afternoon. About 20 were present. In the meeting last night 50 were present. I am very curious to see how many they will have on Sunday. Pray for them!

The first picture shows the principal leaders of the new church plant. From let to right we have McKendy Cambronne, Casséus Joseph (middle) and Micah Prophete (right). They will handle various functions in the life of that new church. Unfortunately, the caretaker was busy serving people, so he is not included in this picture. His name is Wilberson. Pray for them all.

Now, White Mountain Christian Church is not a dream anymore, it is a reality.
Pray for Casseus as he is leading this effort. Pray for a sound system for them, because as of now, we don’t have anything for them. They also need a generator. We have been using the one provided to my family by a Sunday School Class at Timberlake Christian Church. We also need to work on a couple classrooms for Sunday school. The list of things that needs to be done there goes on.

I wholeheartedly thank every one of you who gave to Living Water with no strings attached. Those gifts built that church. I thank our brothers and sisters who gave to drill the well and to install the pump to serve the community. I thank all of you who have been praying for the project. May God bless you richly for our sake.

In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team
