Together

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to all of you in Jesus’ name!

As a nation, we say, “Union is strength.” This unity is necessary to go anywhere. So to progress, we need to work “together.” Luke tells us when the day of Pentecost had come the apostles were all together in on place” (Acts 2:1). Later we learn that the community of believers were “of one heart and soul,” (Acts 4:32).

Unity or togetherness is important to do anything worthwhile. Actually this principle works for both the enemy and us. Our advantage is that Our God is All Powerful. In fact it is highly possible that the sons of darkness do a better job than we do in that area. For we tend to split over petty things. Yet when we work together God can do much through us in a very short time.

This coming Sunday we will celebrate our 10th anniversary as a church. Brothers and sisters will come from different parts of the United States to celebrate with us. I am amazed by what God has been able to do in that relatively short time because we have worked together.

Together we have planted a moving church. Last Sunday there were 670 plus people in worship. Together during those years two other growing churches have been planted.

Together we have saved many lives during three hurricanes in 2004, 2008 and 2008. Together we have helped and (maybe saved) many people in Port-au-Prince, Leogane and Grand Goave. We have served many people who took refuge in Gonaives and Saint-Marc.

Together we have facilitated the education of many. Today these young men and women see life with hope to the point the eye of society is already on them. One example, Elie, is in New York attending a conference aiming at the leaders of tomorrow. He will return to Haiti in the first week of February.

Together we have fed people. Together have built nice facilities to serve our community. Together we have made a nice clinic available to the city, where we provide good care to the people. God has done much more through us that we don’t have time to mention now. All because we have worked together.

Two Sundays ago, Brian Sevits was part of our worship team where he was playing keyboard. I was impressed that we could worship together with him playing piano, and not knowing much of Creole or French. Doug Delp, Dale Samp and Roy Miller were worshiping together with us that day.

Last Sunday it was the turn of Rocky Fellowship. We worshiped together and brother Mark Butrum delivered a heart piercing message.

Today we will worship together with Dr. Matthew Hardee, Daniel Trutwin and brother Harold Engel. Brother Engel will deliver the message this morning. With each and every one of those teams, we work together during the week to foster progress at Living Water.

I thank all of you who have worked together with us during the past 10 years to save souls; to educate; to provide medical care, thus saving lives; to inspire people young and old and to give hope. Let us continue to work together for HIS glory and HIS alone.

Yours and His,

Salonique and team
