Living Water July News

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to all of you in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Savior and Our Lord!

When I wrote four weeks ago it was a time of celebration for the first class of our Christian Biblical Seminary of the Caribbean. We give all the glory and praise to God for that realization.

Many professors, mostly American, invested themselves in those men. The hard work of a dynamic team composed of Doug Delp, Brian Sevits, and Chad Summa produced these fruit. We thank them. We thank Margaret Delp and her friends, Roy Miller, Trish Vessar, and Penny Glover for making the whole event possible. Thanks to you all.

Since our last newsletter we launched the Summer Camp where over 325 kids and about 50 adults were directly involved in making each day of church camp a success. This past week we also had the help of Sarah Harper and Britney Wells. They are both from Cincinnati (Church on Fire and Miamitown Church of Christ). They entertained and taught all the campers. The campers have so much fun it can make busy adults jealous. We praise God for what He is doing through this activity. We thank the leadership and the brothers and sisters of First Christian Church of Mountain Grove for making this activity possible. Besides learning about Christ the girls are learning how to cook/bake different kinds of things. They are also learning calligraphy and other artistic things.

During this past month a lot of progress has been made on the church building. It is getting closer and closer every day to its finish. All the walls of the classrooms, sanctuary and all the four sides of the building inside and out are finished. The main entrance is not finished yet, but should be this week.

A team from Cincinnati, OH made of Ken Boatright Sr, Alan Burk, Cory Marshall, Sara Harper, Britney Wells and brother Greg and his wife Sherri did electrical wiring on the second floor of the building. Unfortunately Greg and Sherri could not stay the whole trip. because Sherri’s dad passed away. While I am thanking each and every one of them for coming to help, I am also asking you to pray for comfort for Greg and Sherri during this big lost.

The last two weeks our brothers and sisters of White Mountain have been busy sharing the Word in one particular community. They had 15 people surrender to Christ. Desiring to facilitate the spiritual growth of those new believers, we are looking at the possibility of starting a church there, maybe a house Church. We need your prayers so that we know what’s the best thing to do. Also White Mountain has a revival this week leading to the celebration of their third anniversary this Sunday. Pray for them.

This morning we are on our way to Port-au-Prince for two reasons: (1) The Ohio team is going back to USA today so we will be heading to the airport shortly. (2) Jude and I will go to a store in PAP so we check on metal for the roof of the church. We are ready for the roof now. We could be blessed by a team who can come to paint the transitional building in September or during the first two weeks of October. We would be elated to have a professional painter be part of the team. So please come to help us. We would be overjoyed by that.

May God bless you all for partnering with us in the gospel. Because of your partnership Christ is being known and people’s condition are being changed for the best on a personal or social level. Thanks.

Yours in Christ,

Salonique Adolphe and team
