“… With God …”

  • We will gain the victory (Psalms 108:13)
  • Nothing is impossible  (Luke 1:37)

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you all in the name of Our Great God and Savior: Jesus Christ!

It has been several weeks since you read anything from Living Water. During that time of silence God has not stopped working among us. Several things took place since:

  1. We closed the two-month church camp with a lot of fun. We had a few T-shirts of the same color that we distributed to some campers. We did not have 350 shirts but the few that we had were a blessing to those kids and they were glad to receive them. I cannot tell who sent them but they are a blessing.
  2. There was big progress made on the additional classes for Marmelade. In fact if it were not a misunderstanding between Jude, Ezechiel and his teammates, we would be done with it by now.
  3. The people of Living Water were successful in throwing me a surprise birthday party. They got me good.

School started on September 7th this year. Last year test results were satisfactory but we did not have the 100% we were hoping for. However we had some of the best scores: 9th grade had a 96% success rate and the 13th grade had 86% success.

Since school reopened the books we ordered from France are now ready to go on the book shelves. The sixth graders had a blast going thru them the other day. They had too much fun. [Sorry for the arrangement of the photos]

Professor Abraham resumed teaching his favorite class to the students: Bible. He is asked all kinds of questions by the students and thrives on them. Also the Kindergarten has opened for the first time in Living Water history and praise God the building is completed. A big THANKS to everyone who made that possible. Again my gratitude goes specially to Bill and Jennifer Wagner of Cincinnati.

Yesterday we went to the shop where they are welding the trusses for the roof of the church building. They are done with them. Now we need to get them from the shop to the church site. We will rely on the dump truck and the box truck to get them there. It was hilarious watching Rosemond and Monexant trying to see if the could lift one up by themselves. They didn’t make much progress on their project.

The other thing which has taken place is that we have decided to start two new churches in 2016. One in another part of our town (Gonaives), and the other in a village called “High ground.” This place is in desperate need of the gospel. They have never had either a school or a church. We need to team up to win them for Christ. The challenges are high and considerable, but Our God is able. Please pray for Luke because he will be the one who will lead the other Church in Gonaives. As far as the village church is concerned we have yet to decide which candidates we will choose. We have three potential people for the task.

In Psalms 108, the Psalmist wrote, “With God we will gain the victory” (NIV). I think this is a weak translation. The essence is we will gain victories which looked at first impossible to win.

In Luke 1:37, we read and believe that “Nothing is impossible with God.” Whatever the challenges are “With God” we will overcome.

All the things we stated above looked at first impossible or very difficult to achieve. But now they are here. The only One responsible for them to be here is God. Whatever the challenge we need to remember to put God in it and all will be well.

Should we start two new churches? Yes “With God.”

May the Lord bless you all richly.

In Christ,

Salonique Adolphe and team

P.S. I will be at the ICOM Convention this coming October. Then I will go to MO, IL, IA, IN and OH. So if you want me to come for a visit, whether with a church, a Sunday school or whatever Christian gathering, please let me know. Looking forward to being with you.
