Sending Praises to the Lord

We Need You!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in HIS name!

Very few of you know that I was in the USA for the week. I could not tell you that I was coming because it was a secret. My sons, Mark (Salgini) and James (Ben) came to Moberly Missouri to surprise mom Jan.

The plan was orchestrated between Brian Sevit, David and Mary Rosado and us for months. We got her good! She is still not quite over it. We had a blast. We were kept busy flying, riding horses, touring streets, universities and colleges. The boys sampled eating in a fast food restaurant under the shade of the golden arches and eating in places where we were surrounded by people with suits and ties.

We spent good times with mom talking, watching wheel of fortune, jeopardy or a ball game, even a soccer game. Yes we had mom Jan watch a soccer game. It was through and through a fun time. But I have to say a number of times I let mom take her grandsons to places while I stayed to write the 2015 booklet. Mom loves it. The boys enjoy it. So we were good. Now we start heading south today.

We could not have done it without the boys missing school for a few days. It seems to me the boys did not mind missing school at all. They did bring school work and also did some study as well.

School started three weeks ago. This is in many ways a special year. This is the year that the church is going to move out the school campus for the first time in our history. It is about time. While we will continue to focus on a quality Christian education, we will have space for the church to grow and the school to breath. It is also a special year because for the first time we have a preschool/kindergarten going on. It is a long dream come true. Yet it’s a project that comes with additional concerns as well. So we need you to continue to help with what the Lord has entrusted us to do.

The first and the last picture is a bracket showing you where we are now (first photo) and where we are headed (last one). It is a stressful time, really! But it is also an exciting time.  It is stressful because the financial demands will be much higher. It is exciting because we will be presented with a wonderful situation where soul winning is going to take place. More people will come to the knowledge of our Christ who sets us free.

There will also be opportunities for leaders to spring up. We need you in this critical corner. Therefore I am calling on you to flex our muscles together. I don’t have much to flex myself, but when many, many, many of us join together what we have with the power of God the forces of hell will tremble and fail again. It is highly possible to grow by 50% or more as a church if we pray and we league up together against the enemy.

The school offers her own challenges. We have more teachers, more employees and the salaries are higher. We had to raise salaries this year for the teachers. We also agreed with them that we won’t raise salaries in the next three years.

So as we are facing these critical changes for the best at Living Water, I am calling on you to help us face them. Please sponsor a child. Please give to the Rice and Beans for Kids program. Please if you have not supported Living Water financially consider doing that even if you start with a small amount. God will not fail you and the truth of the matter is there are blessings in giving for both the giver and the receiver. The Bible says: “There is more blessings for those who give than those who receive,” Acts 20:35. My friends we need you to go forward.

We have another giving opportunity that I want you to consider. We are moving from the school campus to the actual church campus because we are confident the Lord will help us to finish the construction of the transitional building soon. We will need chairs. We need 1,500 chairs. We will put about 700 chairs in the classrooms and offices. Remember those classrooms are for Sunday School on Sundays, but we will use them during the week to train the youth in various capacities; music, painting, English language, electrical wiring, etc. The remaining 800 chairs will be put in the sanctuary for worship.

After considering the costs, it is better to buy the chairs in Haiti. Time is against us because we will move on December 20th of this year. That  is the Sunday we will inaugurate the church building. So if we were to buy them in the USA, there is a high chance we won’t get them on time.

Now here is the challenge: buy one or more chairs for Living Water. Each chair cost at the present 17 USD, with transportation and inflation consider giving 18 dollars per chair. I guarantee you, you will not regret this investment in the kingdom.

I want to remind you that I will be at the International Conference on Missions in Virginia. My wife, Gine, will be there as well. I will remain in the USA for the month of November. If you would like me to visit with your church, Sunday School class or family, please contact brother Ken Croll (ken@liivingwaterchristianmission.org), or Brian Sevits (Brian@livingwaterchristianmission.org), or Bonnie Furniss (bjfurnis@gmail.com). I will be glad to visit with you.

We need you. We need your prayers. We need your visit to Living Water. We need your financial support. We need your expertise. We need your advice.

May the Lord bless you. Have a wonderful week.

In Christ,

Salonique Adolphe and team
