Merry Christmas from the Adolphe Family

What a Gift!

Brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in the name of Him who chose to be human, born in a borrowed manger, of lowly parents, so that He could save us all! It is the choice of His Father, it is His choice as well. He said: “No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again.” From the manger to the grave, all He has done was laying down His life, again in the lowest possible way. Yes, He did also take it back from the Resurrection Sunday to His ascension.

We are valuable. We are precious. If it were not the case the Creator God, the All-powerful God would not have ”emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” He has done all of this for our sake, He has done it to save us. He gave Himself. What a gift!

Thanks to all of you who have given your precious time to pray for Haiti, way before the arrival of the Christmas season. Some of you fasted, met for special prayer meetings on behalf of Haiti. Your prayers have been having a miraculous effect on Haiti. Many cities are now back to the “New normal,” to repeat a statement of my sister Mary G. Rosado. Many places have resumed having school. But it is yet to be the case for Gonaives. We had a better day today in comparison to the last two days. If the United Nations is asking for $62 Million to feed Haitians who are on the verge of a humanitarian crisis, we, members of the Church of Jesus Christ need to do something, especially this Christmas. Please consider giving to Living Water in order to participate in alleviating people’s hunger and by that increase our witness in the different communities where were are serving.

As we are all enjoying the heavenly gift, please also consider to partner with us in the education of a child this year with a gift of 360 dollars for the whole year. You can choose to do it once, or in several increments. Many kids are waiting to be sponsored by you as their Christmas gift for the year. You can pick the kids you want to sponsor from our user-friendly program called REACH. If you want to talk with someone, please call Paula Beauchamp at: 636-357-8473 or Cheri DeGraff at 314-581-1472. These people will be more than happy to answer your questions. Please, sponsor a child. Doing so helps in feeding the kids. It also helps in paying the salaries on time. And, it helps in providing the school supplies that we need to continue to offer, in spite of the outside challenges, and giving a quality education to those children.

Those of you who have had the privilege of worshiping at White Mountain will be elated to be reminded that this church is booming. In the small building that you know they have consistently put between 300 to 350 people every Sunday. People are stepping up in leadership positions to strengthen the church. It is an amazing thing to witness. We give all the glory and honor to Jesus Christ for that.

This wonderful growth offers another opportunity for you to partner with us in building their school, Fred Green Elementary and High School, and also in increasing the size of their sanctuary. Because the design of the building is intended to kill two birds with one stone. The school will be able to house about 800 students from preschool to thirteenth grade. What an opportunity that we have to continue our temporal and eternal impact on Haiti! Please let us do it together.

As one of the pictures indicate, progress is being made on the construction of the orphanage. Please pray for the project. Plan to partner with us if you have not yet. Please consider giving toward this project for the completion of the buildings as soon as possible.

I want to thank all of you who have given a chance to my kids to be spending a few days in the United States for this Christmas. They are at the present in Illinois with our friends John and Bonnie Furniss. Thanks to Connie Kunz, thanks to Joshua Brown, Thanks to my friend Roxie from Connection, and every other individual who has contributed to give them a fun Christmas. I value this very much. Thanks for such a wonderful gift!

Brothers and sisters, Living Water, my family and I wish you all a Merry Christmas! Let us value the gift that God has given us out of His love for us by serving Him and his people.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Salonique & Gine Adolphe and team
