Two great soldiers of the cross

Two great soldiers of the cross

A summer of great accomplishments

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in the name of Almighty God. He is Mighty to save. He is Mighty to deliver us from the grip of sin and Satan. He is Mighty to open and close doors. He is Mighty to give hope in hopeless situation. He is Almighty pure and simple. If you want you may say pure and complex.

When I left the States in the middle of May, I came back with Anthony and Winston. Winston has gone back to the States, but Anthony is still with us and we will take the road to the airport in just a few hours. He is flying back tomorrow. We don’t want a hard worker like him to go, but we have to let him go, because his parents and friends long to see him. He worked on school construction, building a home and a bunch of other chores.

We have had our first medical team to visit us. They have gone back, but the results of their work continue. We have had Becca and Adventure In Mission (AIM). These guys work way harder than one could demand. The two young men in the first picture are Ben and Jon. I have yet to see more dedicated, disciplined and hard working young men than these two. They are just 17 years old, but boy they are tough. I am impressed with their Bible knowledge. These soldiers of the cross from Idaho are a huge treasure for the Kingdom. The second picture is Juanita Bennett, Richard Anderson, John and Ben working to put limestone/sand upstairs to use for concrete. We also had Corey Courtright from Warrensburg with us. He is now in Panama.

Yesterday the team from White Oak flew back to the States. They worked from the first minute they arrived until the very end. It was a multifaceted team. Mark worked on construction in the morning and teaching the kids how to paint in the afternoon with Betty translating for him. Dr. Sara Fudge taught Bible Lands and Life Ways in the morning and afternoon. It was a great class! The rest of the team laid tiles in classrooms. They completed one room and have poured the concrete in another one. The guys at Living Water will pick up where they left off. Now the burden is on the back of the guys at Living Water to do a top quality job like the brothers and sisters from Cincinnati.

This summer is a summer of great accomplishments: put a roof on the second floor of the school building, classrooms have been prepared for teaching and for other use. In fact, we used one of the classrooms for Dr. Fudge to teach. Tiles in classrooms, school wall dirt and the toughest jobs have already been done. So now it is the laying of the block that is left to be done. We built a house for a family. A lot of great things have been done by the people of God. Praise be to HIM.

Please continue to pray for us. We love you, and without YOU we could not have done any of these things.
