“I am with you always”

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in His name!

Many of you know that this one of my favorite promises of Our King. It should be for everyone who responds to the call of Jesus to be a disciple maker. It should be for all Christians because all Christians should be disciple makers.

Those who are working in a spiritual context like Haiti know the value of such a promise. If God were not with us we would be just a page of history. As Satan is losing ground in Haiti he is more and more furious. The last few weeks have been loaded with trials and difficulties for us here at Living Water. The same is true for many other partners who are working in Haiti and elsewhere. For the whole month of May, and now so far in June, we have not gone a day without demon possession cases. Two weeks ago, we had over 20 cases for consecutive days. Satan’s agents express themselves in clear terms: we are losing too many people, we cannot stand losing more.

As I am writing, Luke, my brother, and many other brothers have been away from their homes since yesterday and are yet to return because one of our 8th graders, Naomie, has been demon possessed. The demons claims that they want her to be one of their queens. So they don’t want to let her go. Pray for Naomie for her complete freedom. Pray for Luke, Jean-Gilles, Casseus, Seth Harken, Mellinda, Bea, Jackson, Monexant and others as they are fighting on behalf of those students. God is with us, so there is no reason to fear.

However we do find many people who express their fears. Some think that I will be discouraged. The enemy thought that we would be discouraged by now. But we let them know that it is against Jesus they are fighting. They are also using false accusations, with many of them these days against me in particular. Some come from so called leaders of other churches. Jealousy has been at the root of some of those godless and wicked accusations. Thank God those accusations will not find good ground to grow. They will die.

Last Friday one of the members of our church, a sweet and faithful servant of God, died. She was electrocuted. People who were stealing city electrical power with bare wire were the cause. One of the wires fell on her and killed her instantly. She lived next to our second school building. The rumor had it that I was stealing government electricity and one of the members of my church died as a result. They said I was the one who caused her death. The news reached the street and people came to investigate. Thankfully I have not heard the rumor any more in the last couple of days.

The demons want to close this school and also the church. We know that God always wins. While these things are going on we continue to work. We could have done more if it were not for the persecutions.; Our men who could have been in the streets evangelizing are instead at their offices casting out demons.

In the attached pictures you will see a classroom with the new chairs. We have chairs for three different classrooms. We praise God for that. When I asked them yesterday how they liked the chairs, they respond like a choir, “Very much”. You could see the pride in their young faces.

Here is some news about the missionaries who have, or are still serving here. Amanda has already returned to the States. Seth is with us for the whole summer. We also have Leez and Branson with us as well.

We did the distribution of the tents 8 days ago. Everything went very well. We took a lot of time to plan it. The group decided to do the distribution on our return trip. That meant the bus would be facing North toward Gonaives. This way if something bad happened we could head right back to Gonaives. Many things happened in our favor. As we were ready to start the distribution it started to rain. That means people will be less likely be violent because they are looking for places to take refuge. The other thing that worked in our favor was that with the rain we were able to see easier who was in dire needs and who was not. Only those with real needs would stand out in the rain to look for help.

We sent our people into the tent cities (one tent city at a time). Each of our workers was to locate two people in visible and doubtless need of a tent. They were to talk with them in private and then ask them to follow them to the bus. Once we had the first group in the bus we talked to them and handed them their tents and they got off the bus. Those people went home rejoicing. As soon as we saw that people wanted to flock to the bus we drove away to the next tent city and repeated the experience as long as we had tents left.

We saw a group of boys who were looking for food in the trash. We give them the food we had with us. We talked with them about their family and we found out their mothers (parents) lived under a sheet. We gave tents to the boys for their families. God is good. We praise HIM.

We want to thank all of you who gave, and are still planning to give, so that we can continue to serve the earthquake victims. The needs of these people are overwhelming. The government is dragging it’s feet in doing the practical things which need to be done to alleviate their pain. We want to do more food and tent distributions as the Lord makes it possible.

I love you all. I cherish your prayers and I beg for your continuous prayer.

Yours because He lives,
