Singing His Triumph Over the Grave

His Resurrection, Our Hope

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you all in His name!

One of my most prized Sundays in the year is Resurrection Sunday (Easter). I always look forward to it. This year I made it back home two days prior to this special celebration. We had only one service and held it outside. We started at 5:30 and ended the service around 9. We had about 720 people in the service.

Three of our four choirs presented special music praising Christ’s victory over the grave. I got the privilege of sharing the message entitled: “Surprise!!!” Everyone was surprised that morning. The Roman guards were; the authorities in Jerusalem were; and Jesus’s own disciples were. All believers are “Surprised by Hope.” Without the resurrection, we are hopeless.

The Apostle Paul says it best. “If our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world” (1 Corinthians 15:19, NLT). Because of the resurrection, the Apostle Peter says that we now live with great expectation or great hope (1 Peter 1:3). I cannot describe to you how much I appreciate the “Resurrection!” Satan finds enough scholars (???) to question it and to belittle it. Yet His resurrection transforms lives from the beginning; continues to do so in the present; and will impact people until the Great Day.

I thank everyone who welcomed me into their homes: churches, groups, gatherings, etc. I thank all of you who took great care of me. Thanks to all of you who prayed with me and for me while I was with you. I praise God for each and every one of you who are praying for us and who are striving to push forward God’s kingdom in Haiti. I praise all of you who made the commitment to be in God’s service whether in the US or abroad. Keep your promise made to God.

Everyone is doing well here. School is going well. The Church is going well. The commitee for the building project is very busy and takes different steps forward each passing week. Please pray for the project.

Please continue to pray for the radio station project. We are now waiting on the government to issue the permit. After that we can estimate what it will cost. Continue to pray that we get the permit. Also pray that when the permit is in we find the funds to go on with the project.

Also please continue to pray for the construction of the health clinic. We would love to break ground in July for that.

Because of the resurrection, we face the challenges and trials of this life with hope. We know that when Christ comes, or when we go home, there will be neither sufferings, nor disappointments. Isn’t that Good News?

God bless you all.

In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team.
