We are overcomers!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to all of you in His name!

We thank God for the privilege of being His servants. Yet whoever has been in His service knows that at times the roads are rough, the mountains are so high that it seems that climbing them is impossible, and the current of the rivers are raging. We need to remember that on the road He is with us. He is able to move the mountain and to calm the raging water. He is good at saying to them “Be still” and they listen. So we always trust in His faithfulness. He is always ontime. Therefore we need to wait on our knees.

The past few weeks have been crazy. We had to take one after another people in critical condition with cholera and other issues to the hospital in the middle of the night. We knew before we even left that the chance to get somebody to help us was slim. While this is true, God has always sent help and protected us from the weakness of our health system. We praise Him in all the cases. Our patients came out well. We are overcomers.

We have also had multiple deaths. I can count four in the space of one week. We had to celebrate the funeral of most of them. One of them was the most shocking one because the brother died suddenly. Dr. Bob Arnce predicted one of the cases will die within six months and that is the case. Preparing funerals, helping the families and encouraging them have been very draining . Our confidence though is that those people who died were children of God. So they are overcomers.

In the meantime the work on cleaning the church property continues. We have had meetings to plan the upcoming school year, which has its own challenges. We will have night classes for adults who have stopped at 7th grade and up. Luke’s literacy program continues where a number of men and women come every afternoon to learn reading and writing.

God has blessed us with eight new souls this past week. They are new sons and daughters of God. Another blessing that I enjoy very much is that the government is building a new road. It was supposed to pass in the middle of the Bible College property which means we would lose a big chunk of our land. Praise God. They changed the direction of the road and they won’t even take on inch of our property. I love and enjoy that blessing very much.

  • Please, pray for the construction of the transitional building to house the people we have for worship.
  • Please pray for the construction of the clinic. It becomes a bigger and bigger need.
  • Pray for the radio station project.
  • Pray for our president. He has the will, but he has a lot of people working against his good plans. They want him to fail.
  • We are praying for you as well.

In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe
