Your financial support for Living Water Christian Mission is greatly appreciated and will help the work of our Lord in one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere. The mission helps feed hundreds of people physically, mentally and spiritually.

In 2008 floods from Hurricane Hannah destroyed many homes and most of the few possessions that the people had. The city continues to suffer from frequent flooding. Any amount you can donate will directly help.

"And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward" (Matthew 10:42)

Children's ChurchWe need you

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in the name of Our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ! I pray that all of you had a great Resurrection Sunday!

I have been away from Gonaives for 8 days already. I came to Florida last Tuesday. Tomorrow I will be going to St. Louis, Missouri, then to Indiana and Ohio before returning to Missouri. There are a number of people that I wish I could see, like Jon and Kathy Reese. I have not seen these good friends in a long while. I pray that they are doing well.

Easter congregationYesterday was the second Sunday for the Church in Marmelade and they had 62 in the worship service. Jude is on his way there because this week they have a lot of work to do. They will lay blocks and do other things for the Church there.

On Resurrection Sunday in Gonaives they had 501 people in the service. I am told that brother Jacob preached a vibrant message. He loves to teach and to preach about the resurrection and so should all of us. Brother Jean Gilles, one of our elders, had the communion meditation for the Church in Gonaives.

I do not know what the schedule for the Church in Marmelade looked like. I have not talked yet with the preacher, Ezechiel. Again, please pray for them.

Blocks for Marmelade churchI love Junior Church at Living Water. Brother Jackson and his team are doing a commendable job. They motivate the kids and they make the kids enjoy coming every Sunday. The picture shows they had a house full.

We have two building projects currently under way: construction of the Church in Marmelade and the expansion of the second school building in Gonaives. We are enclosing the upstairs of the second school building for the next school year.

We anticipate many school children this year again. The sooner we tackle the task the better. I can see how hard the economic situation is for many, many families here in the States. Please join us in prayer that God can help his children so they can contribute to the construction of the second floor of the school building.

Elder Jean GillesToday we brought on staff brother Lucner Saint-Louis. Brother Lucner has been at Living Water for several years. He left to start a ministry but problems have arisen and he had to quit. Since then he returned to Living Water and has taught Sunday School and preached on occasion. Brother Lucner and his wife Alourde have two children: one boy and one girl.

It is true that we are bringing him on in a difficult time. But we also know that it is necessary to improve communications between the sponsors and the children that they support. Soon I will give you e-mail addresses so you can write for info about your children and your children will start writing to you as well.

We need you to pray for the Churches, the school, the staff and the administration of Living Water.

May God bless you abundantly.
