Children cleaning the school

The week in brief

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you all in the name of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

You have not had any news from us for days. We have not stopped working. In fact we are working as hard as before and maybe even harder than before. I left Gonaives Tuesday to go to Port-au-Prince to welcome Micah back to the country. That same day his wife (Micah's) needed to see a doctor. I went with her to the doctor's office and we just had enough time to grab something for a late lunch before it was time to go to the airport to receive Micah.

Another big surprise

Sister Tanie helping clean the church

Dear brothers and sisters,

It was a surprise to me when Living Water people undertook the challenge of cleaning the Junior worship center last week. It was wonderful to see it completed. Yesterday we were able to worship in it.

This morning they tackled a bigger challenge to clean the adult worship center. This is a fairly long building. For those of you who like precision it is 110 feet long and 20 feet wide. In case you math lovers want to practice, this area was covered in about 2 feet of mud. You do the math. Well, they cleaned it in one day. When they started there were only four people: two women and two men. By the time they finished they had a crew of more than 40 people. Some used a shovel to move the mud. Others used a rake-like tool to drag it to the door. Still others carried buckets of water to dilute the mud so that they could clean it up. By the time it was 4:40 PM they were done. I am proud of them. I told them yesterday that I am glad to be a preacher in a Church like that. We unite, work and do things which seem impossible.

Surrender and praise to GodHappy Day!!!

Dear beloved brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in the Name that is above all names, the Sweet Name of Our Lord Jesus.

I have great joy and I beg you to join me in rejoicing because of what I saw yesterday evening and this morning. What did he see, you wonder? I saw that it is possible for life to be back again. It is possible for our city filled with hills of mud to be cleaned again. What did I see? I saw what unity can do.
