Counting our blessings

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to all of you in His name!

Here at Living Water we have an unending list of things for which we are grateful.  Each passing day God is adding more things to the list. Let me sumarize for you.

The last two Sundays we had respectively 670 and 650 in attendance. A good number of these people are brand new believers. Others are growing. We thank God for these people. We thank God for our ministers who are working hard to serve these people and to facilitate their spiritual growth. Just this month we added on staff Casseus Joseph, a student at the Bible College, to come alongside the other ministers to lighten their load. He will be responsible mainly for new believers and new people who join the church. Lately we have had a lot of tiring soldiers. We praise God for those guys.

Ten days ago we celebrated the 7th anniversary of the school. It is very different now than what it was 7 years ago. The school opened with 17 students. Now we have over 630.  Originally we had one building where everything was located: classroom, office, etc. Since then the Lord has given us three buildings. Two of the new buildings are two stories and much bigger than the first one. The physical aspect of the campus is so much different. We praise God for the growth and the progress.

Today, a lot of people want their kids to be at Living Water as Jacob Charles, the vice principal, said a few days ago.  Now the 2009-2010 school year is almost behind us.  The challenge is where we are going to put even more students in 2010-11.  Good question? Our Lord knows! We praise God for these kinds of problems. One of the main reasons we need to praise God for the growth of the school is not just because more people are getting a good education.   We praise God rather because more people are coming to the knowledge of Christ; more are turning to Christ.

Last week something very touching happened. A group of brothers and sisters at Rensselaer, IN decided to have an auction to raise money for Living Water. In the pictures which came to me it was a grand affair. I have seen delicious cakes, others goods for sale and many, many people working hard day and night to make this possible. I did not ask them to do that for us.  They took the initiative. The results are more people are aware of the ministry of Living Water and they raised over 3000 dollars in the process. That is meaningful to me and to all the families at Living Water. Thank you men and ladies who have put up this lofty project. May God reward you for us.

Thanks again to those who worked hard to get the bus to us. We now have a solution (at least for the moment) for several of our problems.  The computer problem is solved and the chair problem is partially solved. The bus was filled with over 150 chairs. Over 100 of them are desk chairs and they needed to be put back together. Students from Central and Hanabel Lagrange put them together. Praise God for bro. Ray and praise God for those students who worked tirelessly in the hot sun of Haiti to make students proud. God bless you.

Some of you who knew that my visa expired last December.  It has now been renewed. The US embassy granted me a five-year visa. We praise God for that. Now I will be able to travel back and forth to the USA to report, raise support and awareness about Living Water. Thanks to all of you who prayed for that.

Thanks to Brother Ken Croll for his hard work in keeping the website updated. Thanks to Luke for all his translation work. He has ligthened my load.

Thanks to all of you who pray, give, raise awareness, write. You keep us in the game. You are a blessing to us. We look forward to hearing from you. Help us counting our blessings

In Christ,
