Blessed

Dear brothers and sisters,

In praising God during her visit to Elizabeth, Mary sang these words: “From now on all generations will call me blessed” (Luke 1:48). I cannot resist praising God for what He has done with Living Water using a guy like me. Mary’s words again ring true “He has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.”

It takes a miracle-working God to do something like that. So my cry to you today is to join in saying thanks to HIM. If it were not for the miracles that our big, big, big God has done in my life, I would have been a “nobody.” He has changed all of that. Of course, He has used thousands of His people to make many of those things happpen. We thank HIM.

It is almost unbelievable to know that there is a doctor in my family, Dr. Daniel. It is beyond comprehension that today I have another brother being trained for ministry at one of the most prestigious Bible Colleges of the United States and we are still hopeful that my little sister Bea will be able to go to USA to nursing school. No one knows yet what the Lord has in store for the future. He is amazing!

Because of Him, today I am useful to my city and to my country. So I give Him all the glory and honor for that.

Yes, blessed! When we started the school we had 17 students. That was 7 years ago. Ironically this morning, instead of 17 students, we have 17 classrooms from 1st grade to 13th grade. This morning 695 students are on this campus. According to the school Principal, we have a little over 100 students who have not showed up yet for various reasons. And, as I am writing, they are in recess, so a lot of little young voices are in the background. It all sounds good at the present. The school in Marmelade is expecting 110 students this year.  That is a big leap from 35 last year. This morning they have 47 in school.

Again blessed! When we started Living Water Christian Church I did all the preaching and the teaching until my brother Luke accepted the challenge to come and help. Now we have 12 adults Sunday school classes and each class has two Sunday school teachers. Of course a number of those are first time Sunday school teachers, but all of us were there one time.

In one of our most recent training seminars we had 35 Sunday school teachers. A number of them were from other churches in the area. The Junior Church has at least three Sunday school classes. God is good. He is moving His Church. We had 589 people in worship services yesterday. We thought by now the numbers would be higher because people are back in town for school, but we have to serve those that God sends our way.

Getting ready to resume the feeding at the school

Getting ready to resume the feeding at the school

Absolutely blessed! This morning, the cafeteria resumes its activity of feeding the kids. I have not visited them yet today, but everything was going well the last time I talked with one of the workers. The lower level of the dining hall is in operation.  That is were the Junior Church meets.  The pictures will give you an idea. They are laying block on the upper level. Feeding those kids can only bring much joy because I know the living conditions of these kids.

I thank God and you for making these things possible. You are making a big difference in poeple’s lives here.

We are really blessed! The enemy has worked very hard to shup us up, but the Lord has granted us His victory. If God were not on our side, we would already be lost in the pages of history. We are blessed because you pray for us; blessed because you encourage us; blessed because you financially keep us going and blessed because you care so much for us.

As our students start a new school year I beg for your prayers for them;  for our staff;  for our teachers and for all the workers of the school.

I have included six pictures which I hope you will enjoy.

In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe
