Merry Christmas!!!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you in His name!
I am sure for most of you it is all white outside with no hope to see 70 degrees anytime soon. I am not going to tell you anything to make you jealous. Just enjoy what you have and I promise not to envy you if you have the white stuff all over.
Jesus is the greatest and the best example of humility. Imagine that God became man. Imagine the King of kings born in a manger; in a small city and of a poor mom and dad.
Imagine the Creator of the world spending the first few years of His life in exile in Egypt. Imagine that he left Egypt to go to live in, not just an insignificant town and not of so good reputation; so much so that Nathanael could not imagine anything good coming out of Nazareth.
We could go on and on. I think Christmas should make us think about simple living and not complicated living. Don’t you think? As the year of 2011 is folding, let us strive to imitate Jesus, Our Savior and our King! Let us strive to be like Him.God has done amazing things for us this year. During the last month I have been feasting on the progress of the construction of the health clinic. Yes, every passing day the Lord makes it possible to make some progress on the building.
The last two pictures were taking yesterday afternoon. They were almost done with the laying of the blocks. It is amazing to see what God is doing. I can tell you it gives me great joy. It gives my wife, Gine, great joy to realize that she will finally have what she has been dreaming of all along. I praise my God for that. I thank all my brothers and sisters who graciously and generously share with us what the Lord has blessed them with, so that we can build this health clinic. I wholeheartedly pray that the Lord will pour His most important blessings on YOU.
Last week we had final exams at the school. They were over yesterday. Students are now home and teachers are wrestling with papers to grade. This is the part I don’t enjoy in teaching. In this article you will see a picture of a few students taking their finals. They are upperclassmen. And in this article is a picture of our newest praise choir/band (you cannot see the musician in it), our space is too small so the best we can do is arrangement in the style of an upside down U. We started using the praise team last Sunday. It was something to experience, especially in the second service when the pace is a little slower. We praise for all those who surrender their lives to Him and we need to surrender ours every day, until he comes back.
May the Lord grant you a really a Merry Christmas! May He watch over you as you travel to visit with friends and relatives. May He give us the wisdom to choose to do only things that will honor Him this season.
My friends, Merry Christmas,Salonique Adolphe
