Praise God for the Progress on the Health Clinic!!!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you in His name!
We serve an amazing God! He uses His people to do things that are beyond their competence.
While driving from Springfield (Pawnee), IL with my friends Scott Yates and his wife Lauren to Lexington, KY to the National Missionary Convention, Scott convinced me that the job can be done, meaning the construction of a Health Clinic at Living Water. In those days, I was still haunted by the waste and lost of many lives to Cholera all over Haiti, particularly in my region. And I still believed that if we had the health clinic then we could have saved a few. I say this because the clinic of New Testament at La Croix saved the life of my niece Anne Christie and that of a gentleman named Jacky. I name those two who are proof.
Scott had to face a number of ministerial challenges right after he made the decision to help in raising the funds. He could not do much before April 2011. But what he has done in me has prompted me to go to work. There were many others involved with Living Water. People started to respond. Then we decided to start the construction in October 2011.
During the first of October we had a medical team from Northside Christian Church in Warrensburg. The team included Dr. Mark, Dr. Gary (PhD.), Michael, Tina and Jennifer. They provided health care to several hundred people. On their last day, early in the morning, we had a nice ceremony to launch the construction of the health clinic. About 30 people attended the service, the five missionaries included. The second week of October the digging began. I am amazed to see how much work God has done in that short span of time in spite of the fact that we spend about three weeks not doing anything on the project. God is an amazing God. We praise Him for the progress on the construction of the Health Clinic.
As I am writing they are preparing to pour the concrete roof over the second floor of the clinic this Saturday. I thank God for each and every one who has made that project theirs. Thanks to the churches who have been giving toward the construction of the clinic. Thanks to the families and individuals who have been giving sacrificially so that health care could be readily available to many people. Your donations have been a confirmation that the Lord is in this project. Thanks for your encouragement. I also thank God for Jude, our construction man, and his team for their faithful and selfless service. May the Lord bless Jude abundantly. Thank YOU very much for your help.
I have included some of the latest pictures that I received from Haiti. Enjoy them. Praise God with me for such a progress and pray for the donors. Also remember to continue to pray for my good sister and friend Regina Green and for my friend Warren Ashley. Both have gone to Living Water to train people in their field of expertise. Our God is able.
In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team
