Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to all of you in the name of Our Lord JESUS!!!
Last night there was a great celebration at Living Water, but I was not able to be there. Everybody says the thanksgiving service was wonderful. The pictures make me jealous. I wish I could be there, but he wanted me in Callao and had brother Steve Miller there to encourage me along with all the other brothers and sisters there. The Lord has come a long way with us.
We had a very humble beginning. We faced all kinds of problems. A few days after we started a silent political unrest blew up. It lasted months. We had hurricane after hurricane, after hurricane. We met with clear oppositions from Satan and his agents. Government officials generously put one obstacle after another in our way. Being humans, we had our own problems: pride, short sightedness, selfishness/egotism, and a hoard of other short comings. Yet the Lord made Living Water Christian School (Institution Mixte de la Caraïbe in Haiti) go forward. God is amazing! His love, His patience and His grace should lead all of us unto our knees to thank HIM and also should lead us to strive to be and do better.
The second picture is the school choir giving praises to the King of kings. We are not the little school we were 9 years ago with 17 students. Now we make the list of the big schools with over 700 students. Isn’t that amazing? Glory be to Our God!
The top picture is a testimony of what we like to do as God’s people on Sunday. We like to read His word together with a loud voice. It is a lot of noise, I guess, but we enjoy it. When the lead reader does not invite us to read along with a loud voice we still do. Maybe not with the same volume, yet we do it anyway. The next best step would be for all of us to do it everyday at home. We all know that is the right thing to do, right? I know, there is always that little word which follows: “but…” Hopefully, we will reach a point when we will stop saying “but.”
Looking back how things were when we planted the church a little more than nine years ago, none of us can doubt that God is a miracle working God! The last photo is about the vocational school that we started 7 years ago. Many have already graduated from our school.
The amazing thing is that we are being noticed. The leaders of the education system in Haiti are growing to like our school. They think highly of us. When they wanted to give a seminar they chose our location. Hmm! God is going to do something significant with Living Water.
I pray that as God is growing Living Water we will also grow in His likeness. We will strive so that it is less of us and more of HIM. We love you brothers and sisters. We thank you for being there for us. May God bless you and put a hedge of protection around all of you. May we all decide to do everything in our lives for HIS glory.
With Calvary in mind,
Salonique Adolphe and team
