When we Pray

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in His name!

One thing that we know for sure is that the disciples of Jesus asked HIM to teach them “How to pray.” In Acts they have unquestionably seen the power of prayer. What happened after the ten days of prayers is incredible and today we are still harvesting some of the result of those prayer meetings.

When we look at Living Water and see the wonders of God, we all know that it is not because we are the best planners; nor because we have an unending source of money.  What has happened in the last ten years happened not because we are the best stewards. Absolutely not!

But when we pray, God gives the vision; influences the planning; provides the financial means; sends the right people to do the work and makes sure the dollars do what He has in mind. When we pray God works in our rebellious stony heart so that we do His will instead of ours. One of the coolest guarantees that we have is: He hears all our prayers. So my beloved friends, let us continue to pray.

As a result of your prayers, we have been able to feed all the students in the school, plus available workers for the trimester of the 2012-2013 academic year. That’s over 700 people a day, and in spite of the rising food prices. The first photo is a testimony of that.

We have also made great progress in our very useful buildings. Although they are not finished yet, they are used every single day. As a result of our prayers, people continue to turn to the Lord whether it is at White Mountain, Marmelade or Gonaives proper. As a result of your prayers the Lord continues to keep us in the game and protect us both physically and spiritually. We need to continue to pray if we want to reach out to this nation for God and if we want to see this nation surrenders completely to Jesus.

Here are some of the things that we need to pray for this week:

  1. Continuous safety of the mission team who is with us from Smithville, OK.
  2. Pray for our leaders
  3. The planning and various activities of the 10th anniversary
  4. For the harvest here
  5. The delivery by the govt of the license for the radio station
  6. The church construction project
  7. The teams who will be visiting in January and February

In the context of the teams coming from now on, please use this FaceBook page to post our projects and anything that will contribute to forwarding the cause of God through and at Living Water Christian Mission. It is: http://www.facebook.com/LivingWaterChristianMissionProjectPage.
