Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings to you in the name of Our Lord Jesus!
I arrived in Haiti 8 days ago from a six (6) week trip in the USA. I was blessed beyond words by the warm welcome that I received everywhere. Many opened their homes to me, fed me and chauffeured me everywhere. People sacrificed big chunks of their busy schedule to serve me in the name of Jesus.
Thanks to mom and dad Green. Thanks to Ken and Pat, Cody and Melissa, Paul and Karen, Gary and Judy, Bryan and Veronica, Bob and Nell Stacy, Bob and Janeta Greem. The list of people who fed me is too long to name! As a result I came home with 10 lbs more on me to show how well I got fed. Thanks to all of you who housed me. God will repay you for that.
Thanks to our brothers and sisters at FCC. Brother Steve, the leadership and the mission team made me feel welcome and I was seriously blessed by everyone. Thanks also to KCC. I had a blast with you guys eating fresh Alaskan fish. All the meetings were refreshing. Brother Robert, Bryan and Leslie were all a blessing to me and thanks to all of you my friends.Things are moving pretty well at White Mountain. They had about 120 people in the last few Sundays. Mountain Grove Christian Church has infused more energy in them by provided a sound system, which they have been praying for. They also received a generator and made some wonderful progress on their bathrooms. To signify their joy, and to express their gratitude to the Lord, they plan to have a thanksgiving service next Sunday.
Larry and Mary Jan Sims of IDES were with us for a few days. We boarded the plane to Haiti together and sat next to each other. We arrived in the evening 8 days ago. The next day we started to visit the different sites of operation of Living Water. Brother Larry distributed about 15 water filters to different families in town, and in the country as well. Brother Sims spoke for the 10th anniversary of our school. What a powerful sermon. He got many minds thinking about what life would be like if we gave Haiti to the Lord. He did a wonderful job. The trip led us to Marmelade, though we had one more place to visit, but we did not have time for that one.
Our school’s 10th anniversary was last Thursday. We celebrated on Friday morning instead because we had a big rain on the D” day. It was a beautiful service. The voices of our choirs were amazing. Dominic, one of our 5th grade girls, was the spokesperson for the student body. She did excellent like she has always done in all she does.Luke arrived this afternoon from Cincinnati. Daniel Petit-Frere, my best friend, is here with us. A team from Mountain Grove will arrive Thursday, Lord willing. They will be working in the clinic, in the classroom, and also in construction. Looking forward to having them all. Pray for them.
May God bless you all!
In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team
