Dear brothers and sisters,
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the name of the Great God, The Lord who provides for all our needs.
One business place in town wrote on a banner: “For all of our many blessings Lord … we give thanks.” It concludes the banner with “Happy Thanksgiving!” Another one wrote: “Happy Turkey Day.”
And of course, many don’t write anything. If you were to write one, what would it say? Or would you be among the silent crowd? My hope is that you would side with those who acknowledge that “Ever good and perfect gift comes from the Lord.” (James 1:17).
Whether we acknowledge that our blessings are from the Lord or not, they are. I am an object of untold blessings. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and my quiver is overflowing with healthy and smart children. I am blessed with a lot of friends and you are one of them. I am blessed to be part of a fruitful ministry: Living Water. I am blessed with some of the best teammates both in Haiti and in United States. I am blessed with some of the greatest supporters. God has blessed us with some of the best brothers and sisters with all kinds of gifts and talents, who love Living Water and who are working actively to make the ministry go forward. Just in this trip, many people have shown their love and kindness to us in very special ways. Paul and O’labelle Parrish, Mark and Julie Curtis, Bill and Kamara Defries, Mike and Sandy Brewer and of course mom and dad Green by providing to us warm beds. gourmet meals and great fellowship. Churches like Mount Vernon Christian Church, Park View Christian Church (Sedelia), Northside Christian Church (Warrensburg), Timber Lake Christian Church (Moberly), and Corner Stone Church (Kirksville) opened their doors wide to us and gave us opportunity to share with their members. They were all generous to us. Many friends took us out to eat, and I will need a couple weeks when I am back to Haiti before agreeing to step on the Accuser of Good Eating: The Scale. It always flashes numbers that, at times, we or I don’t like to see.Today all of us at Living Water are giving thanks for the progress made on the church building and for all those who gave to make that progress possible. We are also giving thanks for the schools and for all those who sponsor a child, who make it possible for us to feed them every day. They are changing Haiti’s future. We give thanks for the health clinic, the vocational school, and the Bible College. We are grateful to God for HIS generosity!
Thanks to you and praise to Our God for His bountiful blessings.
Happy Thanksgiving!
