Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings to all of you in the name of Our God and Savior: JESUS.
As I am writing this e-mail, I am at the Croll’s house in Harrison, OH. The thermometer reads 34 degrees. I saw flurries earlier this morning, plus it is windy. If I am allowed to say it like it is, it is cold. Whether we like it or not there is nothing we can do to stop that because God has programmed it to be that way.
Two months ago God decided to call home my adopted father Fred Green. It was and still is a time of rejoicing for him unto eternity. Hundreds of people would have liked to attend his funeral here, but were not able, so we had a memorial service in his honor in Haiti at Living Water main campus. We had a nice attendance and a nice service. We had three brothers from Missouri who took part in the service: Doug Delp, Roy Miller and Doug Henry.
Last year our brothers and sisters from FCC in Francessville, IN sent us some funds to buy Bibles. But there was some mis-communication and it is only now that we are able to distribute Bibles to many people in our congregations. Karen Burk had a similar project and was able to hand-carry 150 Creole Bibles to Haiti in her most recent trip. It is a marvelous thing to put God’s Word in the hands of His people. This way we have armed soldiers. Thanks to those who made it possible to distribute Bibles to those who cannot afford to buy one themselves. God will reward you for that.I recently shared with you what happened to the roof of White Mountain Church. I am sure God has countless ways He could have protected the building. But He didn’t. He might be trying to teach us to build stronger so we don’t have a bigger loss in the future. He might be using that to grow people closer to one another. He might also use that to frustrate the enemy’s plan to slow down the impact of the Church. It might be all of those plus more. One thing for sure, the people realize that God’s protection is certain. They have enjoyed discovering that.
In the midst of this difficult situation one of our supporting churches in Alaska has stepped in and has provided the funds needed to redo the roof. I can guarantee you they are doing their best with the tools they have to build stronger. I am encouraged to see their attempt to imitate the trusses that our top notch Alaskan Engineers and Carpenters came up with. It was encouraging to see how the people came together in order to overcome the challenge that was before them. It is highly possible that they finished the roof today. Glory be to God for that and thanks to our generous brothers and sisters.I want to announce to you that we are going to break ground soon for the Fred Green Elementary and High School of White Mountain. It is a $100,000 project. We have already set aside $16,000 to start the construction from a donation a family has made. This brother has gone to teach leaders at Living Water every year in the last few years and his wife and kids have all been at Living Water. We pray that you will join us in raising the remaining $84,000 to complete the project so in September 2015 the children of White Mountain could have a school. I cannot imagine the impact it will have on the growth of the church and the blessing that this school will be for the whole community. Let us join together to be a blessing to these folks.
I want to use this opportunity to thank Brad and Kerri Pointer and family, Calvin and Angie Steinke, Onward Church, Iroquois Valley Christian Church and Francessville Christian Church for their hospitality, their service and for offering me the opportunity to share about Living Water and for their generosity.May God bless you all.
In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team
P.S. Gine, Brian Sevits, Jeana and I will be at ICOM in Columbus. Hope to see as many of you as possible there.
