Dear brothers and Sisters,
Greetings to you in His name!
Believe it or not I began writing this e-mail two weeks ago. I loaded the photos a week ago yesterday but I was not able to complete the task. I am sorry my report about the 12th anniversary is arriving to you so late. I rely on your understanding.
Twelve years ago this month Living Water Christian Church started. I was much younger then. I thought I had the full proof that God is with me/us. I thought it was going to be an easy chore. I was convinced that in a matter of a few years we were going to turn the place upside down.
In His grace He let me think that way. Also in this grace He has been constantly by my side — by our side. And, in His grace, He found it necessary to train me for ministry. There was only one book involved: The Bible. The rest of the lessons were in the day to day life of ministry.
When I signed up I did not know that ministering included dealing with demons every day. I did not know that I was going to spend day and night fighting them. I did not know that I would have ongoing classes on dealing with people on a day to day basis. I thought my classes in Bible College and Seminary had answered all the questions and equipped me to deal with conflict resolution and dealing with people’s motives/agenda.Well, I know one thing now. God is patient with me so I should be with others. I also learned that not everyone will be able to walk with you all the way. The longer the road the fewer the faithful companions. Jesus did not have thousands of friends at the foot of the cross with Him. Neither will we.
But this is not all the story. Today we are blessed with three thriving churches. The youngest, White Mountain, just returned from an evangelistic campaign in the town of Dessalines. Over 45 people surrendered their lives to Christ. Marmelade is growing and maturing. Here we have seen not just physical growth, but those who were boys when we started are now emerging leaders. This is not all. God is using our schools to create hope in hundreds; to bring salvation to many; and generate leaders for Haiti.
Still this is not all. People are being fed. Lives are being saved both physically via the medical clinic and spiritually via all the branches of Living Water. On top of all that, God has given us a much bigger vision then when we started 12 years ago.
At the celebration of the 12th anniversary of the church we had between seventeen and eighteen hundred people. As usual we had some brothers and sisters from America with us from Missouri and Illinois. We had a blast worshiping the King of kings and then we all ate together.Monexant, the coordinator of the event, and his team organized a nearly perfect event. Without spending a lot of money he put on a great celebration. May the Lord bless him and his teammates.
Brother Terry Henry from Liberty, Illinois preached a Spirit-filled message and we were all blessed. Brother Max Sell led the team from Forum Christian Church in Columbia, MO. We were blessed with the presence of Valery, Bonnie, Amy, Caroline, Olivia and Tim and Julie Crockett. May the Lord shower HIS blessings on them for our sake. May God bless Roy and Lorie Miller for graciously supplying the calendars we distributed to the people who came to the 12th anniversary service. Thank you guys.
During the past twelve years we have seen lots of grace and lots of growth. The reality is we can never thank God enough for His provisions. It is amazing what God has done during those years.
We beg you to continue to pray for us as we are learning to surrender our will to HIS. Please pray for the University project. It is very important for the kingdom of God in Haiti. Please also pray for the farm project and the radio station. Our God is able!!!
Thanks to all of you for your prayers, your encouragement and your financial contributions. Living Water in general, and me in particular, are grateful to you.
May the Lord of Host bless you abundantly as we continue to impact others together for HIM.
In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team
