Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you in the name of Our God and Mighty Savior: JESUS!!!
Since I arrived in the USA at the end of last month I have not been able to send a newsletter out to YOU! We have been very busy.
The journey began on October 28 after a flight was delayed from Port-au-Prince to Miami. Consequently we landed in Richmond, VA almost at midnight instead of
7 PM. Tired, we headed to the hotel and then to the convention. We had a great time with the brothers and sisters that we were able to meet during the weekend of the convention.
When we left ICOM Saturday night we went to Winchester, VA to be with my longtime friend Brandon Merrill, his congregation and beautiful family. You should have seen their little princess, Penelope. She is the sweetest baby ever. We had lunch then took the road and the next day we made it to Moberly.Gine and mom Jan had a lot of fun visiting and shopping and you name it. We had a wonderful time with our friends. Then we went to Iowa to be with our brothers and sisters in Brooklyn, especially the members of Madison Church of Christ. We had a great time of worshipping and sharing with the DeWilders, the Langs, the Chitwoods, and everyone else.
At this point of the trip Gine, my wife, was ready to return home to be with the kids and the rest of the Living Water crew. Yes, they cannot go two weeks without her, but it is ok to go without me for several weeks. After Gine left I continued the journey and this time it was to Mount Vernon, Missouri to be with the brothers and sisters there. We had a great time visiting with brother Paul and Olabelle Parrish, the Englers, the Stokes, and all the brothers and sisters who were able to make it to the meeting. We had a great turn out.
On Saturday the 14th, we were in Kirksville. On the 15th we were in Memphis in the morning and in Lynn, IL in the evening. The Engels, the Sumptions, the Kilsons and so many other people made our journey enjoyable, blessed. Really it was a Spirit-filled journey.Would you guess that I ate to the max at each and every one of those places. Last night I was blessed beyond words for having been with the brothers and sisters at Liberty Christian Church, where my friends Terry and Leslie Henry minister. On Monday, two days before, I had a great time with brother Terry and his mom and brother Darrin. That evening I was privileged to be part of CMCE men and women at Vandalia. It was a great time of fellowship and sharing.
We also had the blessing of being on WJTR, a Christian TV station in Quincy and WGCA, a Christian radio station also in Quincy. All of the chauffeuring and scheduling were made possible by our friends John and Bonnie Furniss, Jeff and Valerie Heberlein. Brother Bill and Donna Weber drove me to and from Mount Vernon. Please pray for John and Bonnie as they continue to serve Living Water in various capacities. The journey will continue tomorrow as I will head back to Illinois and Indiana, then conclude it in OH.
As I am closing this newsletter the bus being shipped to Haiti is packed with much needed goodies for Living Water. Ray will deliver it to the dock for shipping. Thanks to everyone involved in this.May the Lord continue to bless the leadership of Timberlake Christian Church for their kindness and generosity. They didn’t only provide the bus, but they spent hours getting it ready to go; hours packing it; driving it around Indiana to get stuff. I am indebted to you all.
I have included a few photos of the schools and the church building. Enjoy them. God bless you.
In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team
