Estimate for Just the Drilling of the Well

All is well

Dear Partners,

Greetings to you in the name of Our Lord and Savior: JESUS!

It is obvious that Americans will have to choose either Trump or Hillary in November. Without any doubt some will choose Trump. Others will choose Hillary. Still others will stay home and not vote. I always believe it is better to vote than not to vote. Bottom line, the world needs a lot of prayers.

It is history now that France was hit again. This time at Nice. Then it was the Dallas police force which was a victims. Then it was Turkey’s turn to be hit by a failed coup. After Turkey it was Baton Rouge. We only mention those events that had media coverage. The remaining list is scary too and in some cases more scary.

Haiti has a dilemma as well. We are in our fifth week without a president. We don’t know when we will have one. The two major opposing groups are doing their best to destroy each other. In the meantime the life of the poor is even harder.

These gloomy situation do not dilute the fact that God is God. His plans will always come to pass. No matter what is going on in one’s country, or around the world, or in one’s family. If you are Christian All is well.

In spite of all the challenges we face at Living Water our conviction is: All is well. We cannot do more than what God is allowing us to do. Whatever we do, we should do it for HIM. That is our commitment. We have 20,500 USD available for the well of the farm. We have already made a payment and we are on the list to have our well drilled in the third week of August. We hope they keep the promise.

But besides the drilling of the well, which we have money to cover, we need 10,000 USD to buy a generator. We need 5,000 for a submersible pump. We need 10,000 for irrigation pipes. We will buy 15 of those pipes, which cost 650 each and each one is about 20 feet long. They are supposed to be the best pipes on the market and should last. We will need 5,000 to pay for labor and 2,000 for the irrigation canal where the pipes stop. With just the rain water, and we have not had much of it really, the farm looks very promising. Seeing what is taking place has fueled me.

This year again all is well for the camp. First Christian Church of Mountain Grove has made it possible for us to have a two-month camp program at Living Water every year. It is an incredible thing to see! The satisfaction of the parents, the excitement of the kids, and the energy in the camp makes it a success. The kids will have another memorable two months. Sports activities, worship, crafts, music, English, cooking and painting. They also review fundamental classes like Math, French Grammar and Civics.

The amazing thing about the camp this year was that we had three hundred kids the very first day. By the third day we had to stop registration because we had 5,000 kids that day. If we did not limit attendance we could easily have 800 to 1,000 more kids from age 2 and older. It is a lively place. Hundreds are blessed by the activity. We are in our third week and people keep coming asking special permission to register their kids. We are in a bind to accept more kids than what we now have. Thanks to God and to the generous brothers and sisters of First Christian Church of Mountain Grove.

Thanks to IAMM, Dr. Dan and his crew continue to go to the villages (Bassin, Marmelade and Highland) providing health care to the people. Every time they go they always have more patients than hours available to serve them.

Many other things have happened, one of them is the youth choir. The singers have just celebrated their 13th anniversary. Enjoy as well the photos where CCC folks were leaving the village of Highland where we will plant one of the two newest churches. The picture shows adults and kids in worship.

Last, but not least, we have been assigned a frequency for our new radio station. It will be 89.9 FM. It has taken us 4 years to get it, but now have it. Please pray for funds for the equipment. We hope to send an e-mail soon giving you details about it. Rejoice with us. With God on the throne all is well with His children and His servants.

In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe and team
