Fred Green Elementary and High in Progress
Keep on Keeping on!

Greetings to you, fellow laborers, in the name of Jesus!

The last couple of years have been emotionally difficult. I have lost quite a few people who mean so much to me and to Haiti. I have not even been able to attend the funeral of these great saints, except one, the very one that I would prefer not attending if I had a choice. But God is God. We need to willfully surrender to HIS will.

I lost Professor William (Bill) P. Walton, the most patient teacher that I have ever known. He knew how to empathize with people. I have lost my brother Joe Green, a man that I had the privilege to spend a lot of time with both in Haiti and in the USA. We had great plans to continue to work together after daddy went to be with the Lord.

I have lost Etienne Prophète, a true humble and capable servant of God, who was a role model to me. He did all for the glory of God. I have lost Norma Alexander, who has given to Haiti the best years of her life, not just hers, but her whole family serving my land. When it comes to hospitable missionaries, she is unmatched. Her sweet and humble spirit remains with my wife and me. We miss her greatly.

I have lost Abraham Pierre, the one I wanted to run away and not do his funeral. He died an hour after we were on the phone together. He was a wonderful friend, a protégé, whom I could delegate anything to and who would do an excellent job. I have lost my friend Helen Meyer, a generous, sweet spirit and humble servant of God, a woman of deep faith in God.

I have lost David DeVilder, a partner, a friend, an advocate of Living Water, someone who wanted to see better days for Haiti. I have lost my mom, Jan Green, my heroine, my fan, my encourager, my prayer warrior, someone who loves me just like her other children. It is still unreal that she has been gone. But since she would not be at the other end, if I called …1281 and I have not received an email in almost a month, I guess I must get used to it. She was the best mother someone could ever ask for. Thank you, God, for gracing me with those decades.

Brothers and sisters, the cloud of witnesses is getting thicker and thicker with more and more familiar dear faces. Those faces are cheering us on saying “keep on keeping on.” Despite their cheers to keep on keeping on here, heaven is getting more and more appealing. However, while we are waiting to hear our name being called home, I guess we have to say to ourselves “keep on keeping on.”

Just like we announced in the last email, the work on Fred Green Elementary and High School has been resumed. We praise God for that. It is going slow, because we had lots of groundwork to do after being forced to stop the construction 6 years ago.

The stucco on the second floor of the orphanage is complete. They are making great progress on the first floor.

The school at Highland has known some difficulties because some evil-minded individual destroyed the first two bridges. Consequently, progress on the computer lab and the installation of the solar panel have hit a hurdle, but we hope to begin building those bridges by next week. At the present no vehicle can make it to the school campus.

The Bible College continues to train Kingdom servants for Christ. Praise God for the theology book of Dr. Cottrell, The Faith Once for All. It is in French. We have 50 copies yet would welcome more for the use of our students and professors.

The Radio station has just celebrated 5 years of fruitful ministry for Christ. Listeners come from all over the city to the Thanksgiving service. Thank God for everyone who made this radio station possible. God will pour HIS blessings on you because heaven will certainly have more people because of this radio station.

The schools continue to strive to give a quality education to the students in a way pleasing to God and the Churches continue to teach and spread the Word of God. The health clinic is serving more and more people every day, especially with Dr. Bea who joins the team. It is a wonderful thing to see. Thanks to all of you for making these ministries possible.

1. Please pray for funds to continue with the construction of the Fred Green Elem. & High School. We will launch this September by the grace of God!

2. Please pray for funds to continue to feed the school kids! The price of food is skyhigh, and the kids are in dire need because the parents have higher challenges to feed them, even as of six months ago.

3. Please pray for the project to launch the University to train more leaders and workers for Haiti!

4. Please pray for the safety of our leadership and all of the people!

5. Please ask God to send more partners to Living Water!

6. Pray for peace in our world!

7. Please pray for Haiti!

As we are waiting to hear our name, let us keep on keeping on working to the glory of God!

Your brother and His son,

Salonique Adolphe and Team
