A Brighter Future!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you in the name of Our powerful Savior and Lord, Jesus!
I am on my last leg of my trip to return to Haiti. The last four weeks, which is the duration of the trip, have been more than wonderful. During those weeks the Lord has made it possible for me to visit with a few of my friends, most of whom I have not seen since 2019 or longer.
The number of friends that I was privileged to meet and fellowship with is small in comparison to the number of partners that I long to see. Ken and Pat Croll, Ken and Patti Boatright, Spring Hill Church of Christ with brother Bob Stacy, Scott and Nancy Mays, Calvin and Angie Steinke, Rick and Paula Beauchamp, Brian and Jessica Sevits, and my son S. Marc Adolphe are some of the people who hosted me during this trip. All those people, along with several others — David Sears, Jeff Heberlein, Tom Shaw, Terry West, Alan and Terri Burck, James and Deanna Hansee, Brad Pointer, Scott Badger, Derald Ailes, Mary Green, Jim Brauss, David and Lynsey Powers, to name a few — have also assured my transportation from place to place. I won’t even attempt to name the people that I have had the privilege to fellowship with over, at least, one meal. I want to thank all of you for making my trip enjoyable.
During the trip, I had the blessing of meeting with quite a few individual people and groups of people. I also spoke in several churches. I spoke at Spring Hill Church of Christ, Mount Carmel Christian Church, Iroquois Valley Christian Church, Connection Christian Church, Timberlake Christian Church, and Foundation of Truth Ministry. I also got to share with several Men’s meetings at Church on Fire Ministry, with Christian Missionary Fellowship team, with the leadership of Lifespring Christian Church, and with the missions team of Forum Blvd Christian Church. Yet, I had so many places that I wish I could go, and so many people that I wish I could see that this current list is pale. I have to wait for another occasion to meet with those friends and churches that I did not get the chance to visit with. I hope to be able to visit a few more during the November trip, Lord willing.
Thanks to all of you for your love, your generosity, and your encouragement to me and to Living Water. You have been a wonderful instrument in the hands of God to foster growth at Living Water and healing to my soul. So, thank you!
Thanks to Global Compassion, and all the other donors who have made it possible for us to feed some of the children in April and May. Insufficient funds made it impossible to feed all the kids. We are very grateful to you for those you have fed. The kids who have been able to enjoy that one meal a day are very grateful to you. God will pay you back!
Thanks to all of you for your prayers, without those prayers Living Water would not be able to stand and I would be dead a long time ago. Please, continue to pray for us. Continue to pray for Haiti so that peace, and safety can be a reality in Haiti.
I am sure that you have heard by now that the people of Haiti have violently risen up to defend themselves against the merciless gang members who have been terrorizing them for four years now. Every single day, a few people got killed through various means and procedures, kidnapped, and many other evil actions. In the midst of this situation, it would be understandable for people to think it is a waste of money, time, and energy to support ministries in Haiti. But let me tell you, it is absolutely not a waste of money to support ministries involved in Haiti in general, Living Water Christian Mission in particular.
Investing in quality education in Haiti is the way to go in the process of preparing a brighter future for Haiti. Living Water has been faithfully doing that for 20 years! Many of you, who are reading this have sponsored a child who is now ably serving Haiti. I am thinking of Sandy Brewer who sponsored our current vice-principal of our middle school in Gonaives. I am also thinking of Jean Parker who sponsored Charles Wasely who is the discipline director of Living Water School and a Math teacher, and the list goes on.
While providing a quality education to them, it is important to feed them and to present them Christ. Today, in all of our four schools, students have come to the knowledge of the Christ who set free from the demonic power of voodoo spirits/gods. The future of Haiti will certainly be better. Do not give up in fighting alongside us for a brighter future for Haiti. We have already witnessed major changes for the best. Would you believe that several of our staff and faculty members are former students of Living Water Christian School? They are all doing an incredible job, to the point that they are basically the ones running the university. The have proper degrees, proper skills, and proper commitment to higher education in Haiti. They are a blessing.
Also, to assure a brighter future for Haitian children, we need to assure their professional and their college education, depending on the students. I am calling all of you to join us in making Caribbean Christian University a great success! We are heart and soul engaging in training the future workforce and the leadership of Haiti. We cannot do it alone. We need YOU!
As of right now, we need 100,000 USD to build a chain link fence an storage for building supplies on the university property. The area of the property is 80 acres. We cannot start building the education facilities without first fencing it and building storage. We hope that we will be able to launch the building of the fence by July 1st. May God use you in amazing ways to get this project done as soon as possible. May God bless YOU!
Yours and His,
Salonique Adolphe and Team
P. S. Please pray for my friend and professor Bob Stacy. He has just lost the love of his life, Nell Stacy who was one of the best people anyone could ever meet. Please pray also for my friend Rachel, who might be battling ALS. The Lord knows.
