A Few of Living Water Church Leaders

Let’s Praise the Lord Because He Is Good!

News coming out of Haiti is more and more depressing. Barbaric killing. Reducing people’s homes into ashes in several neighborhoods of Port-au-Prince. One massacre after another. Unchallenged kidnappings for ransom. The list seems to be endless. I have never thought before that evil could be a bottomless pit. Unless God intervenes on behalf of Haiti in an amazing way, the solution of our problems is not for tomorrow.

Despite the grimness of the situation, God is moving through several Christian institutions in Haiti. We are happy to say that Living Water Christian Mission is one of them. This year, regular services have been resumed at our Church at Highland. The new preacher is doing a commendable job connecting with the people. We praise God for that.

We also praise God for making it possible for us to celebrate our 22nd anniversary of our first church we planted. It was an amazing celebration, especially when, two weeks before the celebration, we were debating if we should celebrate or not. Finally, we made the decision to celebrate. We used funds that IAMM sent for us to feed people and donations of church members to feed over 1,500 people. Several hundred of them were people in the community who were not even in the service but came afterward to enjoy a much-needed meal. We had a blast praising the One who made it all possible. That was on February 2nd.

On February 22nd we had our first ever reception ceremony for the nursing cap of our nursing students. On the occasion, 36 students were academically qualified to receive their cap after over a year of studying nursing. Now these students are having hands-on experience at the public hospital several days a week. It was a blessed ceremony. Lots of people attended: students, parents, faculty, special guests, and other important people in the city.

On March first, which is the birth date of daddy Fred Joseph Green, we celebrated the 3rd anniversary of the school bearing his name. It was also an occasion to reflect on his various ministries in different States of the Union, and his mission trips and mission involvement in Russia, Rhodesia (Now Zimbabwe), Trinidad, and Haiti. It was a time of praise to God.

We also used that time to challenge the students to give their best as they are being offered a quality Christian education. At the end of this month we will celebrate the 8th anniversary of the school bearing the name of John and Helen Meyer at Highland. Today the John and Helen Meyer school is the biggest school of Living Water Christian Mission with over 750 students.

Another wonderful reason to praise God is the progress on the construction of the church building of Marotte. The job of laying the blocks is almost done; roughly 95% of the blocks have already been laid. I can’t tell you how much this blesses my heart. I know it would bless yours too. God will make it happen soon for His glory. We are also building a few more classrooms for the University. Progress is slow, but we are progressing.

Please, I want each one of you to accept my heartfelt gratitude for making these ministries possible. I also want you to know God has done way more than I could put down in words. I long for the day when you can come to see some of them with your own eyes and be marveled by Our all-powerful God. Keep praying for us. Keep sharing with us your earthly blessings. While many people are fed up with what is going on in Haiti to the point of discouragement, I want to tell you my friends, please do not give up on us. We need you. We need you to fulfill the mission that God has entrusted us.

May God richly bless you for our sake.

In Him,

Salonique Adolphe and team
