Our Amazing God!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you in HIS name!
We serve The only amazing God. His love for us is amazing. It is beyond my wildest understanding how the Creator God takes our pain, our sad feelings, seriously. He took our emotions so seriously that he left us the Comforter to comfort us in times of need.
In the last few days, I have lost at least three teammates, three supporters: Richard Hershman, one of the earliest supporters of Living Water, Fran Burton, who has been a close friend, and one who visited Living Water on several occasions in the past, and my brother and friend Larry Smith, with whom I had the privilege of fellowshipping on multiple occasions. The two men left behind their wives: Richard, left behind Sandy, and Larry, left behind Barbara. My three friends, who have recently joined the faithful waiting for the trumpet sound, left children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. Moreover, my friend Brad lost yesterday his brother to cancer. He and his family are grieving.
Our amazing God knows best how to comfort each one of them. They are grieving the loss of their loved ones. Please join me in prayers for all our friends who are grieving currently. May they see the amazing love of God during the difficult (and empty) days ahead.
One of the ways our God keeps proving how amazing He is to us is through His power. He is All-powerful. He demonstrates His power daily by keeping us safe in the present-day Haiti. It is not something that I can explain, but I really appreciate His provision of safety. Killings, kidnappings, human trafficking, and the like continue without any meaningful opposition from any human source. In fact, human efforts seem to look like mere mockery. It has become increasingly clear that only God can stop what is happening. We look forward to the time when God will say, “Enough is enough.” We covet your prayers so that, as responses to your prayers, God may continue to show up for us in many amazing ways.
Three weeks ago, we celebrated our 23rd anniversary as a church. Our amazing God granted us an amazing celebration, a celebration that not one of us could have foreseen. It was a cold, cloudy, rainy, and muddy day. We thought the sanctuary would be empty. However, the Lord’s house was full of grateful people who had come to praise Him for what He has been doing for us.
A couple of weeks before our 23rd anniversary, we had a graduation ceremony for about 40 students at the vocational school. They were happy, and we were happy for them because they had completed their programs with high marks from the government exams.
Last Sunday we had a special Thanksgiving service because the radio station was back on the air. We had a house full of people from the church and listeners who could make it. The Spirit of God was present. We praised Him because He had done amazing things, both in the physical and spiritual worlds, to bring the radio station back on the air. Many people love our radio station, but it also has its share of enemies. We are not afraid, because we are working for our amazing God!
I thank You for making it possible for Living Water to continue to serve thousands of people daily! You have made it possible for us to offer an education from preschool to university to about 3,200 people. Because you serve the amazing God, you are doing amazing things too. Thanks for making the feeding of school kids at Highland and feeding people during events possible. In a time like now the need for food in Haiti cannot be overestimated. May God continue to use you to bless our people in Haiti! May God continue to bless you for our sake!
Yours in Him,
Salonique Adolphe and team
