Another update at last
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you all in the name of Our Great God and Savior JESUS. HE is the reason for the season.
The past few days have had their challenges. They have also had their victories. It is clear that we need more and more prayers every day. Living Water is making a difference in the lives of hundreds, if not thousands. The ole enemy is fighting back and is fighting hard. He is working hard to severe the harmony that is among us. My request to you is to pray for harmony, understanding and Christ-likeness among us. Please, pray for these things. We are many. We have different personalities. We have different views. Pray that we can always be reminded that it is not about us or our feelings but it is about Him. May I say it again, please pray for us.
It has taken a few days for this news to reach you. I have tried for four days to send a similar message but it has not worked due to our Internet problems.
During those days God has done unbelievable things here on campus and in the community. We have started to work on the road leading to our campus, thus making a way for the whole community that has been locked in for almost 4 months now. We plan to continue the work.
Another huge blessing is the cafeteria. The guys are working like crazy on it. They have a cleaning crew, a crew putting down the sticks, a crew plastering (putting stacco) on the wall and a crew helping all those guys. If you are absent for one day from the campus it becomes a new world. I like that. While these crews are working hard on the cafeteria another crew is working very hard to build the the 31 columns that support the structure of the second school building. They may be ready to start laying block next week. It is fun to see those things happen.
Still another source of joy for everyone in the area is that the bus is back on the street. There is still major work to be done on it, but we rejoice that it is moving again. In the meantime, a bunch of people are working hard also to prepare Ezechiel’s wedding. He led worship last Sunday, and 355 people joined their voices in praising the King of kings. At the end of the service he jokingly said, “I am tired of this single life. The next time I am back in this pulpit I’ll be a married man.”
We are preparing to distribute 700 mosquito nets this weekend. In the first distribution we will provide 200. We are having some difficulties finding nets but we have been promised that this should change soon.
My friends and beloved supporters, we wholeheartedly thank you for every prayer, gift, encouragement, dollar and word of advice that you have given to us. May God bless in amazing ways. Merry Christmas! In Christ,
Salonique Adolphe
