When our Challenges Meet Our God!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings in the name of Our God, YAHWEH!

Our challenges know our size. They also know the caliber of our weapons, which, most of the time, does not amount to much. Goliath knew the size of David to the point of commenting about it. He also knew David’s weapon, which was for him a total mockery. However, he ignored one important thing: The size of David’s God. When He figured that out, he had already met Him. It was too late for him.

All the 8 billion people, who live on the earth, have one thing in common: They all have their own challenges. Some of us feel lonely, and loneliness is working hard to drag us into depression.

But, when our loneliness meets our God, we quickly realize the truth that there is in Jesus’ statement when He said, “I am with you always even to the end of the age.”

Others of us feel helpless. Doctors and nurses have no good news to share with us. In fact, they have quite the opposite. But when those challenges meet with our God, the Healer and the resurrection and the life, we rejoice.

Still others of us face financial challenges. Those financial challenges rob us of our joy and happiness. But when our financial challenges meet with the One who always makes provision for His children, those challenges become historical happenings because Our God owns everything, including cattle on a thousand hills. He lavishly provides for HIS!

My friends, please make a habit of sharing our challenges with Our God, YAHWEH, instead of bearing them by ourselves. When we do so they bury us.

Many of you know some of the challenges Living Water has been facing in the last few years. Some of you even saw it first hand like Brian Sevits and Todd Beaverson when they went to Haiti a couple years ago. They had guns pointed at them in what remains one of the most dangerous spots in the country where the gang called “Gran Grif” “Long Claws” daily operated.

They could have killed us, or kidnapped us. Instead, one of the influential guys in the area whether he is a member of the gang or not, we will never know, but while we were trying to talk sense into those gang members, he came and asked us to follow him. We did. We had no clue where he was taking us, but he led us to the place where we could make it to Gonaives safely. God provided safety for us in one of the most unlikely circumstances.

During the worldwide outbreak of Covid-19 in March 2020, the government shut down churches and schools. The other activities, particularly public market and public transportation functioned as usual. The biggest government target in Haiti was the churches. All churches were closed. Many rejoiced about that. It was seemingly an insurmountable challenge.

But God, in His omniscience, had already made provision to solve the problem via our radio station and the online church services. Instead of destroying our influence, the experience multiplied our influence.

The ladies at White Mountain delayed the project of Fred Green Preschool, Elementary, and high school for years. But God put an end to that last year. It took us two years before establishing the ministry at Highland, but at the end God did it. The teachers thought they would have their way after buying the judge. But that challenge itself met with God and it is no more.

The challenges during the process of establishing Living Water Christian Church of Marotte are enormous and various. But soon enough, they will meet our God. The challenges in establishing the orphanage have already met with God. It will be in full operation very soon. We rejoice because of that.

At the present, I am in Harrison Ohio at the home of my friends Ken and Pat Croll. I thank God for all of you that I have already had the privilege to spend time with, especially the brothers and sisters of Miamitown Church of Christ and my friends Allan and Nancy Jones. I look forward to meeting every one of you that God will grant me the blessing of spending time with you. May God bless you all!
