Dear friends,
Greetings to YOU in the name of Our Great God: Jesus Christ!
The French translation of the last part of verse 35 of Acts 20 says, “There are more blessings to give than to receive.” An English version says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Another one says, “There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.” Whatever the translation that you adopt, we all can multiply our blessings in giving.
We need to be reminded that those who sow sparingly shall reap sparingly, but those who sow abundantly shall also reap abundantly. Now, caution! Abundant is not in the number. The poor widow that Jesus praised did not give much in human eyes, but the she gave a lot. She gave abundantly.
Living Water has been receiving a lot of blessings during her years of existence. Our prayer is that those who give have seen the multiplication of their blessing. In our most recent construction project, the health clinic, we have been blessed beyond words by so many people in many churches and states. Some give tens, others hundreds and still others thousands. The building is completed and has been operation for months now. Just recently a young family from Middletown Church donated 5000 dollars so we can install windows. Now they are in place, except for a few which will be installed this weekend. Our prayer is that God will multiply the blessing, give happiness to those churches, individuals and family.
On our end our people also give. Not much by human standards, but the little they give makes a difference. Another way they give is by working voluntarily. This week we had men giving their hours working to clear the area where we are going to put the church. Some ladies in the church brought food for them. That is giving. I pray that the Lord will multiply their blessings.
Last Monday we started a camp-like program which will go all the way to the end of August. The kids come every day amd have a three-hour program of singing, teaching and learning some new crafts. At the end they are given a nice hot meal that they enjoy. Some go back home right away, others stay to play some more. This program would not be possible if the members of FCC of Mountain Grove did not give generously so this program can take place. Some of the kids are not Christians yet, but they are hearing the message every day. Our prayer is that God multiplies their blessings for our sake.
Please continue to partner with us. We will pray that God will apply Acts 20:35 for you. Please join those who are partnering with us in constructing a new sanctuary where more people can meet to worship our Lord. Together with God, we will do it.
May He multiply your blessings!
