Merry Christmas Beloved!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Merry Christmas to everyone of you!
It is this time, as members of the family of God, when we are thinking about the gift, which made it possible for us to be called children of God. God’s gift to us during the first Christmas was Jesus. He stooped down in Bethlehem in humility. He was lifted up in Golgotha in humiliation bearing all of our sins. He did those things out of love for all of us. Today we need to show our love for Him by loving one another.
This was arguably the most challenging year of our ministry. The country is at its worst state ever. Kidnapping. Gun robbery. Very high gas prices (30 dollars or more sometimes). Proliferation of gangs all over the country. Uncaring government. High price of goods. We have had some of the fiercest attacks of the enemy. We (or I Salonique) have been close to the breaking point many times. We are still standing, yet the assaults are still coming at us from all directions. We won’t quit. We can’t quit. We know that Our mighty God will not let us be devoured by the lions in the den, nor let us be carbonized by the fiery fire of the furnace. In the den as well as in the furnace, His glory will continue to be manifested.
The Churches are doing fine. Highland celebrated its 5th anniversary yesterday. It was a Spirit-filled service and I was deeply encouraged to see the spiritual growth of some of those people. We had about 81 baptisms this year, hopefully we will have some more before the end of the year.
The radio station continues to be God’s instrument to save lives and help people to grow roots in Him.
The health clinic continues to serve the community. It has increased its service with Dr. Bea taking care of people’s teeth. More and more people are coming to the clinic. Some do make God there Savior and Lord while coming for a medical visit.
The vocational school continue to train young people so that they could serve their community with their profession.
The government results arrived this past weekend and we had 48 out 49 passed the government exams. All our schools had excellent results for the past academic year. We had a 100% success in all our schools, except Marmelade that had a 95% success, which was still a very good success.
The Construction of Fred Green Elem. & HS continues. Class will start on January 9th.
There is great progress on the orphanage building. We are waiting for the country to be back to normal to launch the opening of the orphanage, which I hope to open in less than three months.
The construction of Marotte Christian Church should resume soon.
Despite all our challenges, we have had a wonderful year! The Lord will continue to do great things through Living Water.
In less than two months (February 5th, 2023), we will celebrate our 20th anniversary. I still hope that some of you could be there for the celebration. Pray with us for that.
Please pray for me! I need it very much. Please pray for God’s provision for Living Water. Our expenses are still very high despite the fact that we spend very conservatively. Pray for God’s provision for our different projects: New Church Plant, the University, the orphanage, etc. Please pray for God’s provision for the salaries. Our God is able.
Thanks to all of you who make it possible for us to continue to preach and teach on behalf of Christ in Haiti. May God bless you all!
Merry Christmas¡
Salonique Adolphe and team!
