Moving Forward in the Speed of God!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
I am writing from room 208 at Galilee Hotel in Nazareth. My friend Drake Kanaabo of Uganda, Africa, invited me to join his team in the Holy Land. I arrived here in Israel three days ago. It has been a wonderful experience. There are too many places to visit, too many aspects to consider in one trip. I want to thank my friends from Panther Creek Christian Church, especially brother Cody McDaniel and Dr. Mark and Julie Curtis for providing the financial means necessary for the trip. It has been an amazing trip from many angles.
A month ago we had the wonderful celebration of our 20th anniversary. Every year seems to be unique and offers a unique beauty. Every year also we have specific reasons to praise God at Living Water. One thing that continually amazes us all is despite all the obstacles, the battles, and challenges that we have faced, God always moves Living Water Christian Mission forward. The Hurricanes, the earthquakes, the political turmoil, the killings, and the kidnappings, to name a few, have not been able to challenge the Almightiness of God. We praise Him for that.
We want you to be reminded that the Caribbean Christian University has been established since January 14 of this year. We will also Launch “École de Haute Couture Bonnie Furniss” (Literally High Sewing School of Bonnie Furniss) on April 10th, right before I will begin visiting with our friends and Churches in Mid-April unto third week of May. I will return to Haiti by the 3rd week of May because on the last Sunday of May, on the 28th, we will open the Jesus’ Little Ones Orphanage of Living Water Christian Mission. We will only consider children of age 6 and younger who have lost both parents. We want only double orphans at our orphanage. We may have another program in the future for children who have lost a parent and who are in dire need of help.
We want all of you to know we need more every passing day. We need more prayers. We need more encouragement. We need more funds to continue to operate Living Water Christian Mission. We will continue to seek ways to raise more local funds every passing year in order not to be 100% dependent on help from the outside to operate Living Water Christian Mission. One of the things that we aim to do is to launch businesses, which will be able to generate operational funds for Living Water. Think about ways to help us do that.
The progress on the construction of the church has been hampered by the intensification of the kidnapping in our surrounding areas. Some supplies are coming from surrounding towns and villages and going to L’Estère at the present in a fearful challenge. This is the same challenge that has closed the door of John-Helen Mayer School in Highland for three weeks now. Pray for a miraculous intervention of God in Haiti, please! We need peace and safety!
Haiti has become more and more difficult to serve, yet there are not many places on earth who need our service more. Please pray that the Lord could put an end to the present situation. Please consider giving to Living Water and/or consider talking to people about the work of Living Water. We do what we do to honor and praise God as we are continuing to teach and preach Christ. Thank you for your prayers and your sacrificial gifts.
May God bless you and yours as we continue to serve together to the glory of God for Father and Lord! Let us continue to wait for His timing in everything.
Yours and His,
Salonique Adolphe and Team
