Brief report about the 6th anniversary
Dear brother and sisters,
Sorry for taking so long to give you an update about the 6th anniversary. Before going any further — my heartfelt greetings to all of you in the name of Jesus.
My friends, the service was great! True, we started, I believe, one hour later than the original time, which was 6 AM. If you said “no wonder” then you are right! True, the bus refused to start when we really needed it to transport the choir. Our other bus was in Port-au-Prince to pick up other missionaries. But everything besides that was wonderful.
It was outside. Yes, and the Lord provided a cool breeze with an overcast so no sun was shining on the heads of the people. There was a threat of rain but lo and behold a beautiful rainbow appeared in the sky behind the crowd. It was unbelievably beautiful. The singing of the people was amazing. All three choirs sang in such a way that we thought we were tasting a slice of heaven. The preaching was wonderful. Oh yes, you should have been there to enjoy it with us. We had more people than we expected. It is a very good thing.
We expected 1,500 people. I believed that we had 1700 people and that is not a stretch. We had over 1500 hundred meals ready. We gave all of that away. Not one of our ushers ate because we ran out of meals and we had 50 men and women doing the ushering. Not one of our musicians ate. They were about 10. None of our leaders and staff ate. On top of that there was a section in the crowd that did not receive food. Jude (constructor) even claims that we had close to 2000 people. It was a very nice turn out.
I have included some pictures so that you can see what it looked like. There are other pictures too, just enjoy them.Previously I told you about our computer lab which is now too small. Our men are almost finished with that room. It is completely polished now. The windows are in. The team from Miamitown wired it for the purpose of the lab. Now it only needs painting and floor tiles. Pray for those two things to take place soon.
I will talk to you about the team from Miamitown Church of Christ and their work, great work, quality work in another e-mail.
Know this, all of us at Living Water love you and we praise God every day for you. May God shower His blessings on you.In Him,
Salonique Adolphe
