Team Work Works!!!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in His name!

There is a little creature that I like very much (I detest them too): the ant. You probably know why I hate them. They bite hard and ruin things with pleasure. Yet, I like them. And I am sure you know why. They work together. They are not afraid to take on a giant task. With team work they will fill their stores one tiny bite at a time.

Every day at Living Water I have the privilege of seeing what “team work” does. This week we have on our campus two new vehicles –valuable vehicles. It takes a big team to get the bus into Haiti and it takes another big team to get the dump truck into Haiti. It happens that there are players who worked on both projects.

We needed the whole Callao Chrisitian Church to agree to donate the bus. We have Ray Ivy and the whole church family of Countryside Christian Church who worked together to keep an eye on it. We needed brothers like Jim Williams, Calvin Steinke and his wife Angie to work on it.

We needed the Miamitown Church of Christ Church family to work together with the folks in Indiana to get it and to fill it. They drove it all the way to Miami and paid the transportation fees and part of the customs fees. We needed a whole bunch of people here to work together so that now have it.

The dump truck had another big team working on it before we finally got it. Thanks to the leadership of Doug Henry and the whole Timberlake Christian Church family and many supporters who joined the fight, we now have the dump truck with us.

I thank God for Gerald and Tina Torbet for their selflessness in impacting lives for the Lord. I know that there is no way I can name all of the team members, and frankly I don’t know them all, because many are working behind the scene. A wholehearted thank you to everyone for making it possible for us to have the bus and the most needed dump truck. God bless you all! Team work does work.

A team of people from Living Water have worked this week to make the road to Living Water campus friendlier to the hundreds and thousands who travel through it daily. Thanks to Jude and Micah and their crews for getting this job done.

Another example of how team work does work is the Childrens Church. Many people pour themselves into the lives of those young souls. They spend hours working with them on a weekly basis. Some people train them to sing harmoniously for the Lord Others teach them the Word through their weekly Bible study. Still others plan their Sunday worship.

A lot of work is involved in that ministry. Thanks to Cherlande D’Haiti, Pierre Remilus, Mrs. Louis Jean Gilles, Robin Etienne, Guerda Romeus, Widlin Gedeus, Estevol Junior, Samuel Adolphe, and the hard working minister Jakson Jean Philippe. Last Sunday they had 191 young souls praising God. They are making a big difference in the lives of those youngsters.

I am getting long winded again. Team work has made it possible for us to see a positive change on our campuses every day. This week, several classes have been painted. New spaces are being built for offices, storage, etc. All of those things would be impossible without team work.

THANK FOR BEING A TEAM MEMBER. Your teamates here appreciate you very much. Thank you for sharing your earthly treasures with us even at this difficult time. May God bless you for us.

This week, team work will make it possible for many people to see an eye-doctor for free. Dr. Mark Curtis and his team are here to take care of my people’s eyes. Thanks to those who have sent them: parents, spouses, churches, etc. Team work will change the lives of many this coming week. Thanks to you all.

Also this coming week, we plan to break ground for the health clinic. We will do it on Thursday, Lord willing. This coming week also we will welcome hundreds of students in our school. They will come to learn and be transformed.

We NEED YOU to continue to make it possible for lives to be transformed in Haiti through Living Water.

In Christ,
Salonique and team
