When God Says Yes (Part II)

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in His name!

I am not saying anything new if told you that we serve a very BIG GOD; a wonderful GOD!!! I feel for those who are serving the creature in lieu of and in place of the Creator. They don’t know what they are missing: thus our job. We need to go and tell them the Good News.

Don’t wait to go overseas. Start now and today. Don’t say that we don’t need to go overseas because we have a lot of lost people in America. That sounds like a great argument, but I firmly believe that those who are not willing to go overseas will not likely share Christ where they are.

We continue to make preparation for the new church plant. Jacob has not been able to concentrate his effort toward the project this week because one of his uncles died suddenly. He was in charge of making funeral arrangement and the like.

I contacted a well drilling company and they are willing to drill the well for a little over 3,000 USD. One of our supporting churches has already decided to give a generous gift that will cover 55% of the drilling cost. We now need the remaining 45% so that we can say we nailed this project. Again this is a sign that tells me that God says yes.

On Monday I will talk again with the company and see if we can divide the payment into two or three installments. This way we could give them the go to start drilling this coming week. Pray for this project to be realized and also pray that we can start the church in the Spring. Water will be the first blessing those people will gladly welcome. That would bring an end to walking long distances to find water which they have to carry on their head.

Construction of Health Clinic in Progress

Construction of Health Clinic in Progress

For those of you who remember Jolimet, the darkness is moving out. The Small Group of Jolimet is actually the hottest one. They now have some 60 people who meet two to three times a week. Just last week 23 people committed to the Lord. I have decided to have a special Sunday School class for them. This way they can learn the ABCs0 of being or becoming a Christian. I am teaching it now but hope to pass it to brother Gary before long. He is currently my assistant. We still need a small school just for that community. It would be another great way to win them for Christ.

The construction of the health clinic continues. In the third picture you will observe the second linking column that Jude is installing. One of them is at the bottom in the ground. It should make the building stronger for both hurricanes and earthquakes. Jude plans to start laying block by the end of next week. Thanks to all of you who gave for such an important project. In the future you will see the positive impact that the clinic will have on the community at large.

The church is going well. We praise the Lord for that. We have a team headed by brother Caceus Joseph who is planning the 9th anniversary, which is on February 5th, next year. We will have a three-day seminar for the area preachers and the students of our Bible College. We will also have a crusade in the evening. We will have Haitian preachers as well as American preachers for the event. Brother Dusty Delafield from Miamitown Church of Christ will preach during the crusade. Brother Doug Delp of Timberlake Christian Church who was with us in October will be preaching on the D-day.

This coming week is final exam week at the school. Students and teachers are motivated for the success of this testing period. Yet I am sure both groups will be happy when it is all over so they can celebrate Christmas.

I am honored and humbled by the things that God has been doing here through YOU. I thank you for being such great partners. Your reward will be great in heaven. You will be pleased to find out what he has in store for you for agreeing to be HIS partner to win the lost here and in other countries.
