His Speed!

Dear Partners,

My prayer is that you have been having a wonderful week in the Lord. From my experience I know that living in this side of heaven is a fight. In a fight even the best get hurt or face doubt. The important thing is to continue to fight until the end. Thus a wonderful week does not necessarily mean a week without problems or challenges. It means that you have had God on your side, and whether you have felt His presence or not.

We are in the fourth week of our church building construction project. We could be further into it, because last week, it was only the guys working on the re-bars who worked. Even in their case we had to slow down. The guys were anxious to work. Our people were motivated to contribute with their physical labor, but our funds were extremely low. We were not even able to work Monday and Tuesday this week.

But thank God because work resumed yesterday. As a result, all the columns are in place. The last time I was there only three or four were left to set in their place. They were not even primary columns, they were all secondary ones. So since you heard from us the last time, we have moved forward, yet in His speed. Frankly His speed should be our speed, because it is the best speed.

However, in a time when anyone driving 65 miles an hour or less is a turtle, and any meals which requires more than 10 minutes to be ready is set aside for those who have a lot of time to spare, God’s speed is not always welcome. Because in our eyes God moves too slowly. In reality He is always on time.

Those of you who know me know that I like when things get done quickly and then move to another project. So please pray that:

  1. We enjoy His speed, whatever that is.
  2. People are touched by Him to give.
  3. Our workers remain safe throughout the building process.
  4. He amazes those who have already given to the project and those who will be giving to it.
  5. We keep a heart of gratitude to Him for all He has done for us.
  6. All of those involved in a leadership role at Living Water (USA/Haiti) enjoy good heath and victories over Satan.

May Our great God bless you abundantly for our sake.

In Christ,

Salonque Adolphe and team
