A time to invest
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to all of you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
I may not the best qualified guy to write on investment because I have yet to be involved in business on a serious level. However, being blessed by having a wife who makes investments regularly on a micro level, I know that there is a best time for investment. When farmers are harvesting rice it is Gine’s time to buy a lot of rice. When rice is rare on the market she resells hers. Of course she knows for a fact she is going to have a benefit.
Every Summer brings with it special opportunities to invest in children and young people around here. One of our ways to invest in them, thanks to First Christ Church of Mountain Grove, is holding a two-month camp. It requires four to five hours a day of work for some people. It is six or more hours for others. It requires a lot of energy from everyone. But it’s all worth it.
The children are in a safe environment. They are learning a wide variety of things: Bible, Jesus, arts, culinary stuff, team work, sports, etc. Many of them learn leadership skills as well. They find mentors. They see good role models in the area of service in front of them. The profit is more children for God and more kingdom workers as well.
Included are a number of photos related to the camp. Hope you can enjoy them. But they do not do justice to what is taking place around here.
We have been saying for a while now, “it is a time to invest in agriculture”. Many have joined us and have made a considerable investment with us. Of course, they are not going to have returns in dollars to them directly, but many people will. It was fun to harvest a few dozen watermelons last weekend. We are continuing to invest and we pray that many more people will find it as a worthy investment venue.
We have been promised to have the well drilled by the third week of this month. We have the money we need for the drilling of the well. However we still need funds for the irrigation pipes, generator and pumps so we can irrigate all 200 plus acres. We need an additional 30,000 dollars to do that. Imagine having a well pumping water in that land the whole year. It is exciting just thinking about that.
Though we don’t have the well yet, with the few rains we have had, the peanuts looks good. The okra, milo, and the watermelons all look good. We lost the ones that Connection planted because when they were growing we had no rain and the scorching son was pitiless on them. But they left more seeds so we replanted them again.
Another exciting area to invest with us is in the radio station. We need the radio station so we can enter people’s homes with the Good News of salvation. We need the radio station to influence the society for Christ. The time is right for it because people are more and more open to Christianity. Christians and non-Christians alike enjoy a good Christian Radio show. They all love Christian music. It is a great time to invest in Christian Radio Broadcasting in Haiti. Please join us. We have everything the government requires. We now need the money to put the radio station on the air. So please, please join us in making that possible.
Here are links to the letter of authorization for the radio and an estimate for the actual construction of the studios and the like. We also need 45,000 USD to buy equipment for back-up power when our normal power source is down. So please join us in investing in winning the lost, in strengthening the faith of those who are already Christians, and in training other kingdom workers via the radio station. We need the 45,000 USD as soon as possible. Please join us in putting the radio station on the air very soon. While we are building the building we will use one classroom in the church building to launch the radio station. So join us!
My friends, investment opportunities in the kingdom are wonderful. The return is incredible both here and in heaven. So do not hesitate to invest with us in the Kingdom. You will not regret it at all.
