More ground each passing day

40 days!

Dear beloved friends and supporters,

My prayer is that all of you are doing well and please accept my brotherly greetings in HIS name!

Well, it is forty (40) days after the hurricane today. A lot of things have been done in forty days. In Noah’s day it rained 40 days and 40 nights to generate the world wide flood. Those of us who live in Gonaives, even non-Christians, believe what the Bible said is true based on what we saw happen on two occasions within four years right here in our city. The sooner we believe what the Bible says the better off we are — or in could be too late.

We have been working hard for forty days now. Let’s take a minute to review. (1) The junior worship center was cleaned and is being used again. (2) We cleaned and have been using the adult worship center. In a few days it will also be used as classrooms. (3) We have cleaned all the classrooms and office space in the lower level. (4) We have cleaned the porch of the school. That was a work that was challenging in its own right. (5) We have moved tons of dirt from our campus. (6) We have cleaned school materials, chairs and the like. (7) We have been making new benches and repaired damaged ones. We have done quite a bit in 40 days. The enjoyable thing about it is to step back and see our living space growing each passing day. Praise the Lord! Please do it with us!

My friends, most of you may not be able to appreciate our progress the same way we do. We have come a long, long way. The other thing that you may not be able to appreciate as well as we do is your help, your financial contributions, your encouraging words, your prayers. You pray. You donate. You give encouragement. But we know full well the importance, the result, the impact of what you do. We cannot tell you for sure how many people have been fed, but we can tell you it was a lot of people. We sometimes cook 28 pounds of rice mixed with beans a day. That is the smallest amount we have cooked and only this week. Prior to this week we cooked 55 pounds of rice every day with bean sauce and vegetables and other food. They loved that. Each morning we cook about 30 pounds of flour or corn meal until this week. We could not afford these things if it were not your generosity. Thank you!

Yes, in forty days we have done a lot on Living Water campus,. We have a long road ahead of us. We trust that you will continue to lift us up in prayer before the throne of God. We believe that you will continue to support us to make greater things happen in the lives of students, parents and the community at large.

May God bless you. May He reward you for making such an impact in Gonaives through Living Water. Please pray for these giant servants of God: Micah, Jude and Jude, Murielle, Moses, Ezechiel, Jean-Giless, Fevrier, Jean Rubin, Robin, Celidieu, Josiane, Bediane, Gracia and their families. They need your prayers especially as they will be dealing with new and old students arriving on campus in less than two weeks.

We are praying for you.

In Christ,

Salonique Adolphe
