Okra
We have a small farm that we started five years ago. It is about ten (10) acres now, but it was seven (7) when we started. The three hurricanes in 2006 and 2008 have caused major damage to the soil and irrigation has become more and more difficult. However, the farm helps us by providing vegetables for the school cafeteria and it sometimes generates some money to help the mission at large.
The long term plan is to build a seminary on this land, so even if it does not work out as a farm it will still be a blessing to the mission.
