Praises and Prayers

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in His name! We pray that you are doing well. We are doing well here yet we face giant challenges every day. The encouraging thing is “Our God is able!”

First of all we praise God because of YOU! When I say “we” it does not just include people at Living Water. No! It is also the people who were victims of the earthquake. They did not know where their next meal was coming from, and lo and behold a care package from Living Water was delivered to them. One lady said to our church secretary, “You guys don’t know how many people this bag has saved.” So the “we” includes church members, students of the school, people in the neighborhood, people who were victims in Port-au-Prince, etc.

We also praise God for people who are turning from darkness to light. Last Sunday we had 9 baptism. We have a couple who might surrender to Christ in the water of baptism this coming Sunday. I know the lady in particular had been longing for the day. Praise God! Praise God for the consistent growth of the church. Last Sunday we had 681 people in services. People tend to like the first service better. They like the fact it is early (6 am). You say they are crazy? They might be. Many prefer to sit outside when it is already full inside instead of coming to the second service.

We praise God for the arrival of the bus! Finally! We have it on campus and it is now empty. We have everything in the storage room. When I left the office this evening I left Georges, Widler and other guys transfering computers to the computer lab. I wonder how long will they stay to do that. Micah has confirmed that he saw 29 good computers and two that are questionnable. This will bring much joy on the faces of our students tomorrow morning. The students will start to receive their gift boxes tomorrow. Some of those boxes are loaded with goodies. What a joy they will be for the students in their families.

We praise God for victory over Satan and his demons. I know this might be a shocking issue for some of you but bear with me. This past Wednesday we had about 15 students who were possessed. That is a very conservative estimate. We had many cases. The goal of the demons that day was to kill at least one student. We were on our feet and on our knees fighting as early as 9 AM. I left the campus at 10:30 PM and the principal left at 11 PM. That is 14 hours of combat. The result: Our kids continue to experience the power of God. All of our students are doing well and the demons confess that our Jesus is All powerfull.

One of the girls was struggling about choosing to follow Jesus instead of the world. She decided to come to church the last Sunday of April but after her shower she could not find the clothes she was going to wear that day. The rest of the story is that yesterday she came and she gave herself to Jesus! Praise be to God!

The latter is also a prayer request to pray for our school and our students, for staff and faculty so that the Lord will continue to grant us victory over darkness. Pray for energy for our leadership. As of right now we are all very tired. Monexant could barely talk. Yesterday I preached with a bottle of water to keep my voice going. Jean Gilles admits that he is very tired and the list goes on. But we remain in Christ more than conquerors.

Please, please, please pray for the construction of the church building. We need an architect to design a round or half-circle building that will seat 2000 North American. Pray for funds so we can start by February at the latest. Pray for people to come and work in different stages of the construction. Pray for the safety of the future workers on the construction. Pray for the church building please. We will need 2,000,000 USD to do it. It is a lot of money for us but not for our Lord. He has this. If He wants He can provide it in an amazingly short time.

Pray for my sister Bea. She is getting tired of not being in school. For those of you who did not know, she was in Port-au-Prince in College (Nursing) and is herself a victim. We would love to send her to the States either for nursing or counselling. She was in nursing, but she would do either one very well. Plus there is a big need for trained counsellors, especially Christians. Pray for that and if some of you can help, please do. She has a passport but she will need a student visa. If you can help please let me know. In the meantime pray for that.

Last, but not least, I am planning to preach a Crusade in Liberia Africa with brother Reggie Thomas and others. We will have several crusades going on at the same time. I need your prayers for that. We will go the last week of October (22nd-31). If some of you can support me financially for this trip I will be very grateful to you. I will need 3,500 USD for the trip. It covers airfare, food, hotels, crusade expense like gas.

We pray for you too. It is a habit we have here. Jean Gilles prays for all our supporters daily. We love you. We know for sure your reward in heaven will be great for the impact that you are making in Haiti.

God bless you.

In Christ,

Salonique Adolphe and team
