God continues to work!

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you all in the name of Our God and Savior: JESUS!

We rejoice here with the USA soccer team’s qualification to the next round of the soccer world cup? Many of you may say what is that, but really we would be overjoyed to have our Haiti soccer team in the world cup, but unfortunately we are not among the best team in the world.

God continues to do amazing thing for us here. This past week we received some plans for the new church construction. We are pleased with them and we are sharing them with our people. Sunday night we will have a presentation using our projector so the people can see what it looks like. While we are preparing this the members of Living Water are in prayer every day this week They meet to pray that God may provide the people; the resources and the funds necessary to build the church building. Please join us in prayer for that project.

We have finished rebuilding the wall of the church property. In the section we are not going to use for the church right away we will plant banana trees, coconut, some mango trees, papaya and the like. We will put the fruit trees in a position where we will not cut them down when we build the transitional housing and possibly the health clinic.

God continues to work through the adult literacy program. Luke and his team have done a commandable job. Some of the people already know how to write their names and are starting to read full sentences. It was a source of joy for me when I was looking through a window and sister Merianise was sent to the board to read a sentence and she did. She was so proud of herself she started to dance when her eyes fell on me and we laughed with joy together.

Luke and I knew this summer would be busy, but neither of us thought of it that way. Luke is very, very busy. He is so busy he has not been around the table to eat with us in almost two weeks now. He is ministering constantly to Naomi. He is assisted by Bea (my little sister), Melinda, Seth (from Central Christian College of the Bible), and at times he has Jean Gilles, Casseus, Oriente. For two consecutive nights he had one of our deacons, brother Oslet, with him. He also had Leez (CCCB student) and Branson (perspective student of CCCB) helping also.

Naomi is the most demon infested person I have ever met. Again, God saves her life. Demons are fighting back and they keep losing. Praise be to God for His faithful presence among us. Praise God for all the victories He has given and He will be given to us.

The demons vowed not to let our students take their final exams in tranquility. Well, praise God they have taken them in tranquility. We request your prayers for many of those students, particularly Guerlande Alex. She is undergoing a lot of persecution for her faith. In the middle of all that she lost her Mom, and her Dad was not in her life at all. She is in the tenth grade.

On a personal note, you may have remembered that, Lord willing, I will be preaching in Liberia African this coming October. For the trip I will need about 3000 US dollars. But right now I need money for plane tickets. If you want to send me to Africa, please pray that the Lord will provide everything I need for the trip — including time to prepare for the trip. Please also help if you are can contribute financially to the trip. If you are willing to financially support the trip, please drop me line to let me know. I would appreciate it.

God continues to work and the whole purpose is to grow His Kingdom.

May the Lord richly bless you.

In Him,

Salonique Adolphe
