Cleaning the church porch

Cleaning the church porch

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings to all of you in His name! I praise My God for each and every one of you that He has encouraged to help Living Water. I am personally blessed by you all. You are a fountain of encouragement to me and to all the brethren at Living Water. May God bless you for our sake.

I went to Port-au-Prince Monday. While we were there many people continued the cleaning. The crew has both teens and adults. The kids concentrated their efforts on the porch of the junior worship building while the adults concentrated their efforts on the inside. That same morning another group of guys distributed packages. They distributed 130 packages that day in people’s homes. The packages were divided into three sizes. One for children whose parents are not in the Church; one for singles and another for families. Yesterday we continued with the cleaning. The goal for this week is to get the building of the junior worship ready for Sunday service. The work continues as I am typing this e-mail.

However a tropical storm is giving us light rain at the present. It is slowing down the work considerably. This makes people worry and they are afraid that water may come again to undo what they have already done. Pray for our people here. They are rightly concerned with any rain falling over the city or up north. Any little progress is good. The work ahead of us is huge. It can be easy to get discouraged. We are working as a Church and as a community to get the Campus cleaned as soon as possible.

This weekend we will undertake our fourth distribution. The third one went beyond the walls of Living Water. Those who took refuge at the school of Living Water and who are simply members of the community benefited from it as well. The fourth distribution will be for people at Living Water and a few people in the community. We cannot provide for everybody, but the requests for help increase every day. We will provide according to our means. Pray for us and thank you for all you have done.
