Surrender and praise to God

Surrender and praise to God

Happy Day!!!

Dear beloved brothers and sisters,

Greetings to you in the Name that is above all names, the Sweet Name of Our Lord Jesus.

I have great joy and I beg you to join me in rejoicing because of what I saw yesterday evening and this morning. What did he see, you wonder? I saw that it is possible for life to be back again. It is possible for our city filled with hills of mud to be cleaned again. What did I see? I saw what unity can do.

When we tackled the Junior worship center last Monday it was a mess of trash, mud and dirt. At some points we had 3 feet of mud and at the lowest it was it was over one foot of mud. How is it now? Clean. Fresh. Friendly. Usable.

It was not easy work by any stretch of the imagination. Some fell and others got hurt. We were all were tired after every day of work. We had tough times pushing those heavy wheelbarrows of mud. But we did not give up. We continued on. We took breaks. We joked. We tried to have fun in spite of the challenges. We praise Him for what He has done. Consequently today we had a place to worship. There were about 160 in the building which was orginally made for 150. We worshiped Our Great God. Brother Jean Gilles, one of our elders, led the Sunday School class. Brother Monexant was the song leader for today. He did a marvoulous job in carefully choosing his songs. We were all blessed. I (Salonique) preached. I was not strong physically, but I was at the disposal of the Holy Spirit to use me.

More cleaning to do

More cleaning to do

Today Our Lord gave another victory to our dear and beloved sister Renette over Satan. We praise God for that.

This week we are facing three challenges: (1) Take more dirt out in front of the porch so rain water does not invade the worship center again. (2) Clean the class rooms. We find it unrealistic for the government to expect school to be open in Gonaives on October 6th as they have announced. We have a lot of dirt and mud in the class rooms. Even if we worked the whole month of October it would not be enough because we are cleaning it by hand. (3) We also plan to rescue some of the concrete blocks which were used on the school campus wall. The water did not wash them far from the campus. Are you tired just by reading what we have to do? I am. But we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

It is a happy day because it is the Lord’s day. It is a happy day because we could worship in the junior worship center. It is a happy day because the people of God enjoyed a heartfelt worship. We love you. We thank you. We pray for you. We praise God because of you. Now enjoy the pictures.

Your brother in Christ,

Salonique Adolphe
