With God!!!

Dear brothers and sisters,

It is with much joy that I am writing to you after more than two weeks of no info from me. A year or so before Grand’ma Ethel Green died, she taught me this proverb: “No news is good news.” I have always remembered that proverb.

My prayer is that all of you are doing well. We pray that our dear sister Regina’s knee continue to progress, specially as school is getting closer and closer to reopen. We pray that Brother Bob Stacy is getting better. We pray that brother Micah continues to enjoy the guidance of God and hope that he continues to enjoy his trip to the USA on behalf of Living Water. With God on our side, all is well.

Today marks the third week of government testing of the school students in Haiti. So far all our students have taken their tests without any major incidents in spite of the threats the enemy has made. With God the victory is on our side. This week the 12th graders are taking their tests and next week the 13th graders.  Please pray for them and for their success.

Seth and Mellinda have come to their last week here. I am sure they will have a lot to report when they are back. I am sure they have learned how great it is to have God with you. I am sure they have learned the power of prayer and they have experienced that power over and over again. Of course we will miss them. Yet we cannot keep them as their friends and parents are waiting for them to return. There are multiple benefits we have by their presence with us.  One benefit is that our kid’s English progresses exponentially. Keep praying for them to continue to stay with God.

Getting ready for a bigger cafeteria

Tomorrow we will welcome Corey Courtwright from Warrensburg, MO. He is a member of Northside Christian Church, the same Church as Seth Harken. They will be joined by Felix Guerra from Panama. They will be here to teach us on the use of a plant called Moringa and how to cultivate it. They may also move toward starting other agricultural projects like raising goats. We will see what God has in store for the week with these two servants of Him. I know God will guide them and us into what we need to do for HIS glory together.

Our biggest project for this summer is the cafeteria building. We need a bigger cafeteria and much more space to feed the children. The ladies need a better kitchen. They need bigger space to feed the kids which will help them in managing the feeding times. When completed, we will have 5280 square feet of space. In that space they will have a kitchen, feeding rooms and a mess hall, which will be used for junior worship on Sunday. At the present we put the junior worship under a tent. It has a much better air flow through it, but it makes more work than usual. We hope the tent will be there for only a short period of time. It will cost us about 15 USD per square foot, so if someone wants to help us, he/she can choose how many square feet that he/she would like to build.

Our attendance has been down a little bit for the Summer. We had 638 yesterday, which is a little more than last Sunday which was 621. Please pray for our people as we ourselves are praying for you.

I am including six pictures. The first two are about the church.  The middle ones are about the project of the expansion of the cafeteria. The fifth is an English class and the last one is a picture of my family. I hope you enjoy them.

We thank all of you for your prayers and your gracious and generous donations.

In Him,

Salonique and team.
